Nice little hotel in a great location, more or less opposite Kings Cross station/St Pancras tube. Everything we needed was close by and we could reach all areas we were visiting via the tube (get a day pass if you are out for the day, we paid 12.00 each). On arrival we were 10 minutes early but this was fine... More

It isn't the best place if you are looking for a warm place to stay in winter. The heater wasn't seems to be working properly, it only feels a little bit of warm even at the max level. The wifi apparently experienced some problem during our stay as well, which is quite annoying. The shower wasn't that satisfying either, took... More

Okay where do I start? The hotels walls are paper thin, the bathrooms are small to the point I couldn't close the door when I was in the bathroom, noisy, terrible breakfast if you can call it that, no soap in the bathroom, beds that are hard & rude unhelpful staff. Avoid like the plague! Dreadful!

Stayed here on the 9/01/15 as I was very cheap and included a cooked breakfast, the room I had was room 11 which was at the front and was on the Main Street, I knew it would be a bit noisy but staying that close to St Pancras/Kings Cross station I expexted this. The room was small but big enough... More

The hotel is basic - but not cheap enough for what it is. Don't bother unless you are booking last minute and there is really no other option at a decent price. You are better off getting one of the many places in the area on airbnb. Room is small but ok - cleanliness also ok but the room was... More

Small cramped rooms and breakfast room very noisy at night and and the toilet is under the shower head pretty much. Wouldnt stay here again however the location is fantastic with buses and tubes literally right outside

The Carlton: what can I say?....let's be diplomatic. It's got a roof and floors, walls and windows. It's very well situated for access to Kings Cross-St Pancras. It has stairs. It has free wifi, and you get clean towels, 2 bars of soap and a kettle with some tea sachets (no coffee in my 'room') And 'room' is where my... More

This is one of the more basic hotels in this street of regency terrace hotels near Victoria. The 'receptionist', decor, space, etc are all basic with no flair or niceties. However, my room was perfectly clean, everything worked perfectly well, and I had an efficient overnight stay during a business trip.

Location is great for King's Cross. But this may not be a type of hotel you are used to go. It consists of several houses which are turned into individuals rooms. Basic accomodation for single night is ok, never for two.

Cannot recommend this hotel having stayed two nights on business trip. Basic friendliness and helpfulness appear to be alien concepts to the people running this place. While my room (facing back) was quiet, it was not up to functioning standard - shower wall fixture was broken; water pressure on the shower head barely more than a trickle and temperature (tending... Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
