I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. The staff were so polite and friendly, the rooms were of a high standard, lovely continental breakfast and fantastic location. I particularly enjoyed the free proseco in the bar!!! Two minute walk from Gloucester Road tube and, despite the hotel being near to the busy Cromwell Road, we couldn't hear the road... More

The entrance hall is certainly pleasant yet belies the true grandeur of the rooms beyond – as it indeed should be for that is where one spends most of one’s hotel-time... The furniture, decor and general room-functionality achieved an admirably high level of sophistication. The staff were well schooled in the art of attentiveness and professionalism. The only thing I’d... More

We were expecting to find a better hotel considering the good reviews, however, in our mind the classification of it should be 3 stars and not 4. Also, we booked a Superior room but even this room (404) has some basic deficiencies like missing commode next to the bed (left side) plus a kind of night-light so we couldn't read.... More

This hotel was just so amazing on all levels. The staff (especially Syle, Ana, and Charma) were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were super clean and large for an English hotel. Everyday there was a little present from the hotel, including lip balm, mints, a loofah, bath oil, bath beads and face atomizer. There was a free glass of sparkling... More

Whats not to like about this hotel! Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, nightly Pressecco in the bar! Great staff especially Syel & Anya - always ready to offer suggestions. Location is awesome...minutes from the Gloucester Road tube. Love this hotel!!!

This is a great little hotel in a super spot for west London. Hotel was clean and tidy, staff would fall over themselves to help you out. Whether it be flagging a taxi, or ensuring you are not queuing for reception. We called for an iron and board, I have never had such a speedy response to a request. Free... More

My Husband and i stayed at this small hotel as it was convenient for the Royal Albert Hall(15 min walk ) Its easy to find from the underground, approx. 3min walk, adjacent to Holiday Inn. The hotel was welcoming and they had upgraded us which was nice. The bedroom was a good size on the ground floor. We were surprised... More

Ashburn Hotel in Cromwell Road is one of the best hotels my wife and I stayed in, after a wonderful week in Paris and Rome. It sort of capped our 47th wedding anniversary celebration because of its warm and cozy reception, with an amiable concierge who was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The hotel has a very elegant... More

The Ashburn hotel is an excellent one among the London hotels. The rooms are clean and bigger than the average in this city. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is good close to the tube station. The breakfast is poor, boring and expensive. Every day is same and there is no English one. That was our second staying here. Suggest... More

Great hotel, service is second to none, staff are very polite and the little gifts n free magazines/ newspapers, champagne is what gives this place one up from the larger chains! Breakfast was ok besides being a little cramped but adequate. Would've been nice to have hot breakfast included in the price. Would stay again though!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
