Rooms lovely. Nice view of street. Great location to walk to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park - also the High Street for shopping. Bus stop close by for pick up for tours. Also had half price drinks during happy hour.

Lovely little hotel within walking distance to Kensington Palace, parks and museums. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was larger than what we expected and very comfortable for our 3 night stay. We were on the ground floor and did not hear any traffic noise which was pleasing after a long journey. The bathroom could do with... More

We stayed 6 nights in May 2015. This was our 3rd time staying at this hotel and it has become our home away from home. We had an executive double and the room was very clean as always. The staff was wonderful, helpful and polite. The location is about as good as it gets 2 blocks from the Tube and... More

The Asburn Hotel is my favorite boutique hotel to stay at in London. The location is perfect. The hotel is one block from the Gloucester Road underground station which puts the entire city at your doorstep. Less than two blocks away from the hotel are Sainsbury Grocery, Whiterose Grocery, Tesco Convenience Store, Boots Pharmacy, numerous restaurants, coffee shops, and even... More

Upgraded on arrival plus complimentary chocs and prosecco for my birthday. Small details but make a big difference. Staff friendly and helpful. We arrived early and left bag - when we returned it had been placed in room ready. Room and bathroom were good size and comfortable. A little noisy during rush hour as we overlooked busy main road but... More

We stayed 4 nights in this charming boutique hotel near the beginning of an 11 week trip around Europe - our first. What a lovely little old world hotel and is kept in excellent condition - no run down dump here! It is close to most things and the tube is just down the road. We arrived quite late -... More

The Ashburn is a little gem in a great location near a nice shopping strip with station, restaurants and tradtional pub. The hotel feels comfy and english with lots of class and style, but at a reasonable price. Rooms are charming with all conveniences. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. I feel i made a great find :-D

Beautiful room with nice touches.... a small surprise gift each day, comfy robes and slippers, deep soaking tub, nice sized safe, small fridge, complimentary (glass!) bottles of water, and comfy bed. I was visiting the city with my brother. I lucked out with the biggest room (very spacious), but his was just as nice, only smaller. The staff were so... More

I have stayed in this hotel twice and both times it was such an amazing place to stay! Breakfast is offered every morning in the lower ground and is catered for everyone. The coffee was amazing! Both times I stayed my room was perfect! The bed was very comfortable and also at night the area is very quiet even though... More

We stayed at the Ashburn for 5 nights recently. It was a nice little boutique hotel in a great area. The staff was friendly and accommodating and helped us with many destinations. The tube station is right down the road. We liked our room, with only two notable issues- the bed was not very comfortable and the shower is difficult... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
