We just returned from our 4th stay at the Ashburn Hotel in London. We will never stay anywhere else! The location near the Gloucester Road Tube station provides perfect transportation options via 3 major underground lines which can access anywhere you want to go, plus you are easy walking distance to Royal Albert Hall, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Kensington... We recently stayed at the Ashburn Hotel in Kensington...London, England for three nights. Upon arriving we were upgraded to a King room on the first floor. It was such a nicely decorated and comfortable room with a lovely street view. I thought it may be a noise problem, but that was not the case at all. Our stay included breakfast... More

The Ashburn Hotel was great right from the start of our trip! The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We began each day with an exceptional continental breakfast in a very pleasant dining area---an array of meats, cheeses, breads, juices, etc. and ended the day with cookies, a small gift, bottled waters, hot chocolates, coffee, left by... My partner and I travelled to London for a 5 day getaway at the beginning of May. We selected this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and were definitely not disappointed. The staff greeted us every time they saw us, the room was VERY clean (hotels always give me the heeby jeebies, but not the Ashburn), breakfast was satisfying, it... More

We spent 3 nights at The Ashburn Hotel last November. Sorry for the delay in submitting my review. We were upgraded to a very nice large room with a seating area. Breakfast was tasty and ample to get the day started. The dining area is rather small so there was one morning we had a little wait but no real... More

Great location, quaint boutique hotel! So close to Gloucester Tube Station. Easy walking distance to restaurants on Gloucester Street and Earls Court. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I would book directly with the hotel next time. They also offer car service to and from the airport. Enjoyed our complimentary glass of Prosecco, nightly.

I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. The staff were so polite and friendly, the rooms were of a high standard, lovely continental breakfast and fantastic location. I particularly enjoyed the free proseco in the bar!!! Two minute walk from Gloucester Road tube and, despite the hotel being near to the busy Cromwell Road, we couldn't hear the road... More

The entrance hall is certainly pleasant yet belies the true grandeur of the rooms beyond – as it indeed should be for that is where one spends most of one’s hotel-time... The furniture, decor and general room-functionality achieved an admirably high level of sophistication. The staff were well schooled in the art of attentiveness and professionalism. The only thing I’d... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
