Very friendly helpful staff! Good Continental breakfast! You really feel welcome. Although on Cromwell Road the rooms are very quiet because of double windows. For free in the evening a nice glass of prosecco.

This is a lovely little hotel that has a touch of luxury and friendly staff, although breakfast is slightly underwhelming. Our room was very clean with a comfortable queen size bed, a TV and an excellent power shower! We felt very very comfortable in our room and the staff were very welcoming, the free glass of prosecco was a nice... More

We were spending the weekend in London having booked tickets to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and wanted to be able to walk back to the hotel. The hotel is in a lovely safe area & easy to walk & tube to, which we did the following day. Check in was great, very friendly but we were disappointed... More

Stayed for just one night in December 2014; small queen size room but had everything required for a stay in London. Bed comfy, black out blinds, tv, hot and powerful shower, hair dryer etc. most importantly, the room was very clean. Very impressed with cleanliness. Also with amenities, magazines and newspapers to read, prosecco provided, service polite. Breakfast filled the... More

Stayed for one night in December 2014. A wonderfully helpful welcome on checking in, and equally as helpful when checking out, offering to store our case for the day without being asked. A very nice, pleasantly fitted out room. Remarkably quiet given the proximity to Cromwell Road and unlike many hotels the claim to be 2 minutes walk from the... More

Stayed here last weekend for a visit to the Royal Albert Hall, had a very enjoyable stay, our room was lovely, good size with a sofa and 2 t.v.'s, large bathroom with nice toiletries, it had airconditioning so didn't get too hot. Quite a lot of road noise, but it didn't really affect our sleep. The reception area looked a... More

Pros: good location, near underground station (Gloucester), a lot of shops and places to drink and eat (open very late at night!). The room was clean, the furniture in the old British style. Cons: Room a bit small for a 4 star hotel. Too hot (we had to sleep with the window open both nights). AC / heating noise all... More

Stayed here for two nights. Room apparently was an upgrade. In the basement. It was large with decent bathroom though lacked any natural light. Breakfast was good. Though small room, bit chaotic on first morning as not everyone could get in. But everyone managed. Think the facilities need upgrading I.e tv carpets etc. Overall not too bad for the discounted... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
