The Ashburn hotel is an excellent one among the London hotels. The rooms are clean and bigger than the average in this city. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is good close to the tube station. The breakfast is poor, boring and expensive. Every day is same and there is no English one. That was our second staying here. Suggest... More

Great hotel, service is second to none, staff are very polite and the little gifts n free magazines/ newspapers, champagne is what gives this place one up from the larger chains! Breakfast was ok besides being a little cramped but adequate. Would've been nice to have hot breakfast included in the price. Would stay again though!

We bundled this hotel into a Travelocity airfare purchase and stayed for one week in #106. The windows did a great job shutting out street noise and by European standards it was a good sized room that was very clean. The staff, especially Elena and Sahi (sp.?), were more than helpful and accommodating. Wifi was o.k.; the daily password change... More

Great staff clean rooms lovely little hotel pleasant to stay. Staff helped us with any questions . The rooms were ready on time. Breakfast was nice and it was possible to upgrade it. The hotel is in a good location, lovely not noisy area, the area also has a railway station, close to restaurants and supermarkets more

Stayed at this hotel for four nights when my friend and I visited London. I was not able to choose two twin bed room when I made the reservation, so we were checked-in to a double bed room on our first night, but the staff at reception was very helpful to accommodate our request on the next day. Location was... More

Second stay here, great location (so handy for museums, restaurants, Earls Court etc) and also the tube. Very friendly and welcoming, comfortable, clean, good breakfast. All in all, excellent value for money

As part of a city break to London, I stayed at this hotel with my brother from 4-6 Feb-15. My decision to stay at the Ashburn was very much influenced by the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I booked the hotel through Expedia where a special rate was on offer. Overall, I give this hotel an excellent rating and would highly... More

We stayed here for my husbands 50th birthday and it was lovely. Couldn't fault it, the room was lovely, clean and had lots of extra touches which made it special. There was no road noise even though we were at the front of the hotel and we slept very well in the comfortable bed. They put some chocolates in our fridge... More

My wife and I were in London over the Christmas holiday and found the Ashburn to be the perfect lodgings for our first trip to the UK. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed starting the day in the breakfast lounge, which provided great coffee with a complimentary continental breakfast and then some, finishing our day in... More

We stayed at the hotel on 1st Feb 2015. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We paid a very good rate for London which included a continental breakfast. The Hotel has appx 40 rooms and we were on the 4th floor, upgraded to a good sized room with ensuite and robes, tea & coffee making facilities. We could just... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
