I went to London for business purposes, and this was the best option in terms of position and price. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very kind. The only issues are with some of the facilities: poor wifi, walls and shower needing some repairs.

We spent only 5 days at Avni Kensington with my girlfriend just to visit London but had no complaints at all. Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was tiny but we had everything. It was clean, wifi was fine, tv was okay, shower worked well. There's an elevator so it's a nice plus. The staff was helpful and... More

Pros: * Location: close to Earl's Court and Gloucester Metros * Breakfast is fine, but few fruits. * Staff is friendly and tries to help. * Price is affordable * Neighborhood is very nice and one of the most exclusive in London. Cons: * Bathrooms: shower clogged, showerhead leaked all night long. Staff can't fix anything unless a handyman comes... More

I stayed here while Wimbledon was on, and luckily only for one night. I paid 200 pounds for a room, and I have stayed in hostels that were much better!! It was so overpriced. The hotel was full and clearly I was put into one of the worst rooms. There was no air conditioning, so it was very hot, there... More

Stayed 2 nights from 8th to 10th July 2015 the hotel receptionist who worked 8th July on the night was the rudest receptionist I've ever come across! Was telling the person I was stayin with where he could stand! Had no customer service what so ever! Wouldn't stay there again!

The staff at the Avni were helpful & efficient (unless a tour group was waiting in the small foyer - then it was disorganised). We arrived early but our room was ready, a small/compact double with ensuite. No room to spare but it was only for sleeping & showering. The price was reasonable for London & the location great. 3... Nice place, friendly and helpfull staff but small rooms. God place and I would like to return someday. If you Arne on sightseeing in London the side of the room doesn't matter. The breakfast is god as well and is a good starter.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
