Nice quiet room, small but clean. No bath only shower. Stayed here on business, so I didn't book direct with them, so No wifi in rooms, unless you pay, come on in 2015 having to pay for Wifi. The one area you need to look at is breakfast and the waiting on staff! Very basic breakfast with little choice, and... More

A decent enough London hotel in a good location. Close to tube station and the west end. Rooms are basic and modern. Very pleasant staff who were helpful. A couple of moans, the phone wasn't working properly so I had to walk down stairs to order room service. On the plus side the food was good and hot and the... More

I have been there 2 daya for business. The staff was so rude and doesn't want to help for anything. The rooms at the basement was really small and no sunshine when I asked them to change their answer was it is the room that you paid. The Location is good and close to tube. Also the value is good.... More

The location of the hotel is really top, near Gloucester Road tube only 2 mins walk, very convenient with restaurants, supermarket nearby too. Hyde park, Kensington park in 5-10 mins walk. We requested a double room 16m2, that is just enough for 2 persons (good bed quality and AC)! A tiny bathroom with good showers. However, first time we entered... More

Stayed one night for an Albert Hall concert. Booked last minute. The hotel is decent, clean, efficient. Small double room, fine for one night. Breakfast pretty good and the price with brekkie decent in comparison withe Premier Inn. Low point was cheap inadequate unsupportive mattress on the bed. The room was quiet, location excellent, but the bed........appalling. Slept badly, woke... More

Excellent location near Gloucester Road Tube station. The room was very pleasant, the window opened, and the bathroom was up-to-date and well equipped. The included breakfast was delicious. I would stay there again.

Room on 5th floor though clean and comfortable might cause some problems for tall visitors due to sloping nature of ceilings. The breakfast could best be described as average though the staff were invariably friendly and helpful.

This is one of the greatest locations in all of London. Close to the underground, bus locations are easy and Oxford street shopping is only blocks away. Harrods is close, Buckingham Palace is only a ten minute walk.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
