Delighted with this Hotel. Perfect location beside Tube giving straight connection to Heathrow and Victoria for Gatwick. 5 min walk to Museums. Spotless, everywhere perfect with a beautiful main foyer/reception. Reception fully staffed by friendly, chatty people. Breakfast perfect. We try to find a favourite hotel whever we go. This will be our London one. Full marks to management, room... More

I made a booking at this hotel for several rooms for two nights and then one of our party mistakenly made a reservation for another room - under the same name. The hotel failed to notice that a reservation was duplicated in the same name. Although I paid for everyone in full, the hotel retained a second payment for the... More

The Hotel was great, with a relaxed but posh ambiance with great details such as an umbrella, slippers, bathrobe and tea and hot chocolate available in the bedroom. In terms of breakfast it was as great as the rest of the experience. It was truly a great experience.

This is a nice hotel. The bed in our room was very hard. A top mattres would make the bed more comfortable. The bathroom was very nice, but cold. The breakfast was good. The hotel staff was helpful and serviceminded. The hall of the hotel was very nice and spacy. The hotel was very clean and in good taste. Only... More

My husband wrote a review "A long weekend in London" and I am the disappointed wife. You’d think we stayed in different hotels! I have previously written glowing reviews of this hotel and was shocked at my room this time. First of all, we have stayed here both pre- and post-renovation. Our first stay post-renovation was in a Heritage Deluxe... More

This was my third trip to this hotel on business. As a business user it was fine. Room good size. Staff friendly and attentive. Only thing that let it down was the breakfast buffet was on the cool to cold side. At 8:30 am this is not acceptable which is a shame as the attention to detail elsewhere was good.... More

This is I believe the seventh time I've stayed at the Hotel. Twice I stayed there on business, the other times have been on vacation with my wife. This stay was a long weekend (4 nights) with my wife. Given that we were only staying 4 nights we decided to stay in a less expensive room than normal. I was... More

We stayed in the Heritage Deluxe Room and were delighted with what we found. Fluffy robes, slippers, a well stocked mini bar, large plasma screen and a rain head shower with L'occitane toiletries. All of these amenities were complimented by gorgeous decor, high ceilings, mahogany wardrobes and Georgian style windows, looking out onto the streets of London. The hotel has... More

We spent two days, the Hotel is nice, in a good position, and looks like an old luxury hotel that now is making cheaper price and cheaper service... Our room was incredible small, not perfect clean (some object in the bathroom was used, and when we spoke about this in the reception they said an incredible "could happen, we will... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
