Good reception service, clean rooms, nice breakfast, spot on location and good price. Booked through booking.com for 60 quid and got a free room upgrade to boot. Very good all rounder and perfect for a london city break. Breakfast staff were particularly helpful.

We have stayed four times now at this hotel when taking a short break in London. It is very convenient location, handy for underground and central London and good pubs and restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean and comfortable although small but then this is central London. Quiet location opposite some gardens. Friendly and helpful staff. We have always been able... More

The hotel is a bit older, but well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was very small with little storage, but it is my understanding that is common on London. The location is excellent. It is in a very picturesque neighborhood, with two pubs around the corner along with serveral other eating locations. There is... More

The north-facing double windows had a pleasant view of residences and trees. My 2nd-floor room was so small that the space between the two (comfy) single beds was only 12 inches, and each bed was jammed against the wall. However, the room had a table (48" x 21"), a chair, 2 mirrors, 3 reading lamps, and a ceiling light over... More

Spent just one night in this hotel, found a quite cheap rate for a room in central london. The room was small but clean, with free wifi connection. The hotel probably needs a refurbishment. Super helpful and kind staff. The neighboorhood is full of bars and restaurants.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
