The location of this hotel is great. It is a short walk to the Underground and then only a few stops to all of the great sight seeing locations. Lots of great places to grab food nearby. I did have a few problems with this hotel though. I was put in the basement, which was extremely damp and dreary. One... More

I was here with a group of students. This place was AWESOME!!!! Everyone was so helpful and nice. The room was very nice and not what I expected for a Best Western coming from the states. Breakfast was good and a typical English one. Very close to the Earls Court tube station. All in all I would most def come... More

even though the hotel is not the closest to the city center (earls court is further out), the hotel is a stone throws away from the tube station which takes minutes to get right back into the city. plenty of nice little cafes, fast food and pubs that surround the area. hotel was very clean and wasn't expensive. provided with... This hotel was on a 'recommended' list from the All England tennis club and it's ideally located for Wimbledon, just six stops and no changes on the tube. Unfortunately for us our visit coincides with the tube strike and we will have to depend on buses which are much less direct. Room is large, clean and comfortable. Staff can't do... More

Was a bit surprised when l discovered this Hotel nestled amongst row after row of old terrace like units. Was a pleasant surprise and the staff here are so helpful and friendly. Don't expect luxuries like a fridge or iron or even air con or a fan! But very comfortable and well looked after hotel. Breakfast is satisfying without even... More

I love this hotel and I almost don't want to tell anyone about it so it doesn't get more expensive and/or book up. It's a stones throw from the Earls Court tube stop, so it's convenient to get to from Heathrow and also very convenient to the rest of London. It's on a quiet street overlooking a key garden, so... I stayed here a total of 14 days and loved it. True it is funky, almost comical in it's layout. Price was OK, especially for London , and for such an ideal location, from Heathrow direct to Earls court on the Piccadilly line, just a couple of blocks from the tube station, a pleasant walk into a pleasing area. Staff... More

The location is very convenient; located on a safe street with several stores just around the corner, a mere two minutes walk from the hotel. The Earls Court station is also nearby and will take you anywhere in London. Overall, the rooms are clean and tidy along with hospitable service from the front desk. These staff members: Randhir, Teresa, and... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
