We stayed here for one night. We chose it for the location which was good for us as we were going to a concert at the royal Albert Hall. The room was basic but clean. The staff were friendly. Was OK for the price we paid.

Nice room, not too flash but clean and a good size. bathroom was great with good water pressure. The process for wi fi was annoying and complicated with it signing out at the drop of a hat. Great location close to Earls Court tube station and some nice pubs. Staff were great, cheerful and friendly. The only problem we had... More

This hotel is situated near Earl's Court tube station. It is on a lovely street in Kensington. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The room however is a bit sub-par. The bathroom and bed linens were clean, but the carpet was filthy and the room had ants. Also the free wifi was a bit of a joke... More

As I was in London for the last leg of my trip I wanted to get something along the Picadilly line so I could get to Heathrow no problem. Getting into this property was a hassle - I had to go to a third party website as even calling Best Western directly got me "no rooms available". Getting to the... More

I stayed one night at this hotel. It is a decent hotel with a good price for London. The location is OK, 2mins to Earls Court and there are lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly, the room small but clean and functional. The single bed was comfortable and there was enough space to turn around in... More

If you are staying here, avoid the ground floor rooms, I had 49 and it was dark and a bit dingy with a lot of noise from the street outside, Staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is good with a 5 min walk to Earls Court tube station.

The location was really good as the Earls court station was so close by and so were some shops and places to eat. However, the bathtub which has the shower refused to drain the water and was dirty after each shower. The bathroom floor was dirty and probably not cleaned after last checkout. It was gross and absolutely to see... More

Stayed one night at this interesting hotel (part of which was once the home of Ellen Terry, the actress). Comfortable and reasonable (for London) prices. Breakfast adequate. Room lacked some attention to detail eg light bulbs that needed replacement, decoration a little tired. But very convenient for tube and bus services. Probably best for people interested in museums etc (V... More

We had a good deal so the cost was not full London prices, location was excellent, walking distance from the main museums with a 6 year old, 5 mins from the tube for attractions further away, good breakfast, really helpful staff, rooms were ok, but must mention something others have commented on, my feet did stick out the end of... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
