Basically, the Burns was an OK place to stay, but at the price it was nothing special. I only had a room for the night, and no meals, and it was over £70. There was a small lift, which was handy, because I was near the top of the building. First impressions... I have never stayed anywhere with such a... More

I spent about ten days in this hotel and I think that it is quite reasonable for London unless you expect to spend in your room more time than just for sleeping. Room dimensions are for sure not large (and I would even say quite tight if you need to work in the hotel room or spend there part of... More

Easy to find just up from Earls court station, excellent customer service at the front desk. Large, spacious and clean room. Free wifi, toiletries and tea/coffee. Can hear planes, trains and sirens but that's London!! Small lift not for the claustrophobic! A great place to stay.

The hotel ist very close to earls court station. Our room have been not so big, but very clean and comftorble beds. Breakfast was very fine and the breakfastroom is cosy. Take the district line an vistit kews garden, which is so beautiful.

After booking most of our UK / European accommodation myself, I relied on my travel agent to find an average 3 star hotel for our last 3 nights in London before flying back home. Best Western hotels have a reputation for clean, average accommodation (I wasn't after fancy), so I agreed. It was when we arrived, I then realised we... More

Positives - conveniently located right near Earls Court station (awesome for tourists). - friendly and helpful staff. What else? Nothing. Terrible Wi-fi, very ordinary breakfast (would recommend spending your money getting some pre-made food from the supermarket around the corner, rather than paying for breakfast at hotel), REALLY SLOW elevator, and only fits one person and suitcase at a time,... I stayed here on a Sunday night with work. The room was slightly tired but everything worked fine including the free wi-fi, tv etc. The room temperature was acceptable for me but may have been on the cool side for others. The breakfast is served and the portions are a bit on the mean-side (e.g. one rasher of bacon). The... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, in a single room. Check in was very smooth, and the room was very comfortable, and about the size I was expecting, with a very comfortable single bed, a desk and wardrobe. The bathroom was a good size, with a very good shower over bath. It would be a bit of a... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
