I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in November, purchased through a travel package with my airline. Our room was small (expected in London) and wi-fi was a bit unreliable, but the location and convenience of the hotel made up for any concerns. The hotel is around the corner from the tube stop and there are many dining... More

I've stayed here twice, down from Scotland because of serious family illness. The manager and staff could not have been more kind and sympathetic - way beyond the call of duty. The hotel is comfortable without being fancy, and is very well placed in central London - just along from Earl's Court underground station. I have no hesitation in commending... More

The Hotel is very comfortable, easy to reach from the airport, not a step to do! (very important when you travel with a lot of lagguage!) The Burns is very clean, the room are a little be small, but still you feel a in a londoner house. People are very helpful and kind.

We stayed here as we were seeing a show Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Savoy theatre - excellent entertainment and decided to stay over in London to do some sightseeing. The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming and our room was on the ground floor but tucked away so very quiet. The room was very clean and the beds... More

This was booked through tesco's voucher, so effectively it was perfect for a free stay! The location is spot on only 2 mins walk to Earls Court tube station 👍 it was pretty basic room but the bed was comfy and the shower was powerful (both essentials in my opinion! ) we missed breakfast so can't comment on the food.... Reception staff extremely helpful where possible, room very tired looking and the plumbing system was disturbing through the night also not everyone needs the narration of a tv film or programme pre-watching -I want to be surprised when watching a programme (staff could not rectify this). Located in the area of Earls Court tube station it was ideal for our... More

Basically, the Burns was an OK place to stay, but at the price it was nothing special. I only had a room for the night, and no meals, and it was over £70. There was a small lift, which was handy, because I was near the top of the building. First impressions... I have never stayed anywhere with such a... More

I spent about ten days in this hotel and I think that it is quite reasonable for London unless you expect to spend in your room more time than just for sleeping. Room dimensions are for sure not large (and I would even say quite tight if you need to work in the hotel room or spend there part of... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
