This hotel provides a comfortable stay, clean rooms and well priced. Do not go here expecting the Ritz but it is by no means a dump either. It is perfect for the budget conscious traveller who doesn't want to resort to staying in a hostel. Has all the simple facilities you need for a short stay in London. Close to... More

I spent two nights at the hotel and wasn't sure what to expect having read the mixed reviews on here but was pleasantly surprised. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful when I checked in and my room was much bigger than I had expected. Everything was very clean and in good working order and breakfast was nice too.... More

We stayed here the night before our Top Deck tour, we were met by friendly check-in staff and were really impressed with the size of our room (it was massive) as hearing about rooms in London you expect a shoe box. Our room was so large it had space for a lounge as well, we were on the ground floor... More

We stayed here for four nights in May and returned for one night in June. The first time we had a small room at the back. It was very quiet. The bed was only a double which gave us sufficient room to move about and store our luggage (but we would have liked a larger bed). It was nice to... More

We stayed overnight at this hotel. The rooms were nothing special, but clean and comfortable. However, we booked a taxi through the reception. They quoted us £20 for the journey. The taxi driver had no idea where he was going and actually dropped us off at the wrong place. However, on the way back, we got in a black cab... More

The staff were friendly and that is the only good thing about this hotel. The tea making facilities in the room were dirty. There were marks on the wallpaper. The sockets were hanging off the wall, where they had been broken and not replaced. None of the appliances etc were PAT tested (this is illegal). The bathroom was dirty and... More

Always stay here when I'm in London - as other reviews have said you can't beat the location - especially if you're flying into Heathrow - straight on to the Piccadilly line to Earls Court and then just a two minute walk. Yes the rooms are small but they have everything you need. Good bathroom and nice toiletries. Continental breakfast... More

I really don't know where to start with this review..the upgrade to the dungeon..with the wonderful view of a stairwell, I guess the upgrade meant we had 3 single beds in the room instead of 2..well there were only 2 of us so we did not need 3 beds, thanks anyway! We were put in the basement, which we referred... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
