Stayed here for one night before an organised tour started in December 2015. Booked this hotel as my TopDeck tour was leaving from here the next day. The hotel's in a really central location, just a few minutes walk from Earls Court tube, but off the main road so it's relatively quiet for a London hotel. I'd booked a single... More

This hotel is not fancy, but our room was very comfortable, clean and had a great bathroom! When I booked the hotel for my last visit I chose it because of the great location, and I'm very pleased to have been back. All the staff were friendly and competent, and the hotel is very good value for money. The fact... More

Stayed here for a few nights over the summer with a friend. The hotel is serviceable and a good price for the location, but nothing special. Room had twin beds and no A/C - not a huge problem in London, but we had to crack the windows at night. The location is pretty good - a few cafes and coffee... More

Not much I can say really. I've now stayed in this hotel twice. The rooms are clean and tidy and really handy for the tube (Earls Court is just round the corner). The staff are welcoming and friendly, very helpful too. It's quite an old hotel and probably needs a bit of a spruce up. Only one comment is that... More

This hotel was a bargain at the price I paid & was perfectly adequate for a 1 night stay. The room was a twin, very narrow with a bed at either end but functional enough. The bed was perhaps in need of replacing as it was very soft & the TV could do with a different type of wall bracket... More

I booked through trip advisor and had the choice of a standard, twin single queen etc and breakfast or no breakfast. I chose breakfast and the standard. When I got here the front desk guy demanded I email him my reservation, even though he had it on his computer and I showed him my ID, before he would give me... More

Not a terrible hotel - clean and with basic but perfectly fine bedding, bathroom etc. The reason for the low score is that when booking I had the binary option of breakfast or no breakfast - I decided to take the punt for an extra £10 per night. Once I sat down the next day, apparently I wasn't valid for... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
