The only thing wrong with this Hotel is the size of the room. Three people, 3 suitcases plus carry-on bags. Room was way too small, had to climb over cases or keep them on the beds when not sleeping. Hard to sleep as there is no air conditioning and the rooms are very warm/hot. No fans in bathroom either.

small basic rooms, there is nothing fancy about this hotel, but if you want somewhere clean to put your head down while on holiday in london, this is the place. really really convenient to earls court station.

My single room was spacious enough with a good view over the city. It was on the top (4th) floor so the creaky floors were not a problem. It was clean and quiet, good bathroom. Location was good, just minutes from Earls Court underground station, pubs, shops, etc. Only minus point being the BBC stations on the T.V. had voiceover... More

The first room we were offered had a double bed shoved up against the wall, with barely enough room to walk around the bed. When I asked for a different room, I was given a very little, larger room in the basement. I took that room because it, at least almost, had room to walk around the bed. Later I... More

Stayed here for a long weekend. Lovely hotel. I had a single room which was quite compact but very clean, comfy bed, lovely bathroom. My room overlooked the private gardens opposite. The hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from Earls Court tube station The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We were quite a... More

Before booking this hotel, I saw a few pictures that concerned me; these showed a bit of dinghy quality. After staying in the hotel for a week, I'd say there are a few dinghy spots due to age but the staff kept the place very clean. If you have a problem with older hotels, you may not want to stay... We would not retur to this hotel especially in the summer months. The ventilation system includes windows without screens that do not open in the lower floors at all, allegedly for safety reasons. The only ventilation is in the way of an oscillating portable fan that the guest must request. The carpet in our room was stained throughout and the... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
