My family of two adults and three teens stayed here over spring break. It was perfect for us. We were in number 13 and had two bedrooms with two baths. It was essentially like having a home right there in London. The street below was great for getting a wide variety quick food or groceries. Also, the tube station was... More

we stayed at the mansions last summer, a family of five in the three bedroom apartment, we were greeted on arrival by the very friendly Mr Paul. The location is great, lovely restaurants and cafes surround the area, you can get just about any kind of meal, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Mediterranean. there are also grocery stores just a stone throw... As grandparents with 2 teenage grandchildren we stayed here Feb 21-24 2015. We were upgraded to a huge apartment. The kids had lots of room to stretch out, as teenagers do. Staff was very accommodating as we arrived outside of regular hours. Charming interior in the old world sense. Love the teeny elevator. Close to the tube. We highly recommend... More

I have been coming back to The Mansions for the past seven plus years and can only say the best of the location, the office employees and the comfort of having my own flat there. The cleaners are also excellent doing their job and everyone is friendly. What needs improvement is the wireless which over the years has not become... More

5 of my family stayed here recently for 4 nights and we were all very happy. We had booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom but we were very lucky and were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment as my 78 year old mum was with us. Paul who met us at 10 pm when we checked in was very helpful,... More

Our family recently stayed at No.1 The Mansions for 6 nights in a three bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The apartments are in a perfect location, within 50-100m of Earls Court underground station. The underground takes you wherever you want to go around London and is serviced by 2 main lines. There is also a grocery store, pharmacy and... More

My family and I recently stayed at The Mansions over the Christmas and New Year holiday season. The apartments were massive with plenty of room for 8 of us. They have a wonderful traditional English feel to them that make you feel so at home, giving you a point of difference from a modern apartment. We all loved the fact... More

My family of 4 adults stayed at the Mansions for a week in January 2015. Location - excellent central to shops, Earls Court Station and only 20 mins walk to Kensington Palace. We had a top floor (6th) apartment (No. 12) so there were some stairs to negotiate because the lift only goes to the 5th. Paul was very helpful... More

My family stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 5 nights. This was our first time to London - and the mansions were a fantastic base. The apartments are located close by to the underground tube - and from here it is a short journey to all the sights. The apartments are located near little supermarkets to stock up on... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
