My daughter (who is studying abroad) and I spent 5 nights at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt. We were both familiar with London and were doing some sight seeing and visiting museums and theater. The hotel's location around the corner from the Gloucester Rd tube stop was ideal. Almost every place we needed to get to was an easy tube... More

My sister and I stayed for a week at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt in February and loved it. The room was not what we had expected, so they moved us to another room much more to our liking. The staff were all excellent and met every need we had and more. The breakfast was very good and included with... More

We had a family room - with a queen bed and a sofa bed for the two kids (sofa bed was two singles that pull out which is more comfortable) The bathroom was tight but fine for our length of stay. The room was clean and tidy and we used the mini fridge to keep some yoghurt and snacks. The... More

Having stayed for 2 nights with my husband and son, whilst I had to work at an event, we didn't have the best overall experience: - When checking in the rude female receptionist couldn't find my reservation and was very stroppy, asking for my reservation number; she then scrolled through the email on my phone when I showed her the... reception staff were very efficient and helpful on check in. Room was a nice size. Had breakfast which was also very good. Only minor gripe was there is only one lift, which was very small, and the secondary glazing in my room was open and I couldn't close it.

I was welcomed, recognised and permitted to bring my bicycle into the reception and then into the luggage rooms all with one BIG smile from Philipa, your colleague on the front Desk. Thank you. I very much enjoyed the new layout and refurbished breakfast room

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
