5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I arrived late on a Sunday night to this hotel with not too high expectations and slightly annoyed after paying a fortune for a cab. The whole area is rather posh and the hotel seemed quite nice when I stepped in. The personnel was extremely friendly and I was give a room on the third floor. When I got to... More

I stayed here for two nights in a single room. Single rooms are small, comfortable, but big enough just for yourself. Room was nice and cozy. My room had air con which is a must if you stay in London in the summer. The hotel is in a great location, just round the corner from Gloucester road station making it... More

I was so disappointed in this hotel. From the outside and the common rooms are beautiful. My room was the size of a large closet. When I asked if they had a larger room, I was told no they even had smaller ones! The carpet needed to be cleaned and so did the drapes. I stay at Radissons and have... More

The Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel is not the most luxurious hotel in London. But, it is certainly comfortable and well located. But what sets it above other hotels is its outstanding staff. The concierge Bimal consistently goes out of his way to make sure the hotel guests are enjoying their stay. This trip he even volunteered to take my... More

I was very impressed with this hotel. If you want large rooms and a symmetrical layout, then it's not for you. But if you are prepared to walk up and down a few steps in a quirky hotel made from a number of South Kensington townhouses knocked together, then you'll find clean rooms, excellent bathrooms, nice bath products, comfortable beds,... Rooms are nice with ample space. Nice closets. Beautiful lobby great service. The crowd gathered were of concern. Loud and obnoxious for such a fine hotel. Netherlands does not allpw such behavior. Peoples must respect culture, and long term must learn Dutch as not to be over run by foreign people. Refreshing.

Really good hotel in the heart of London that is fantastically close to many sights yet in a quieter area. Nearest underground at Gloucester Road gets you anywhere by tube. The Natural History Museum is just around the corner - plus the V and A. Hyde Park makes a great picnic stop for lunch. All very walkable. Room had an... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
