Back at The Cavendish on a 'winter special' rate. Great value, seamless check in, valet parked the car (£40 for overnight guests in secure underground car park). Upgraded king bed room, spotless large room all recently refurbished. Good breakfast the following AM although heard some guests complaining about slow A La Carte orders, we had the perfectly acceptable hot buffet... More

Not a good start. Check in is too lengthy and convoluted. Then, because I was staying 4 nights, they wanted to take £50 per night off my credit card. I objected, but was supposed to be consoled by the fact that since I was staying 4 nights they would only take £150 in total (this was a matter of policy,... More

We stayed at The Cavendish hotel on New Years Eve 2014 as we had come to see the fireworks and it was also our first wedding anniversary. Whilst booking the hotel a couple of months previously and requesting a standard room, I had emailed the reservations team advising it was our anniversary and asked if they could provide something a... This is the second time we have stayed at the Cavendish. On both occasions the whole experience has been amazing. The staff are all extremely polite and helpful. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, with the West End only a short walk away. The rooms are of a very high standard of cleanliness and comfort, with the added... More

Dear Kate P, Thank you for visiting us for a second time and it is great to hear we did not disappoint. Our breakfast is a true indulgence and does indeed set you up for the day ahead. The rooms on the higher floors are very popular indeed due to the view they offer over the London skyline. Our central... More

Stayed over night for a theatre break on 16th jan. Used car parking facility which was great. The staff at this hotel were so nice, particularly Emmanuel on concierge desk. The room was clean and comfortable but rather small. We were offered what level floor and we chose 11th which had a great view. Check in was very efficient and... More

Always a favourite, we've stayed here on numerous occasions, usually twice a year for a trip to the theatre and some exposure to the bright lights and retail opportunities of the capital. The Cavendish beds are the amongst the very best we've ever slept in in an hotel. Rooms are always spotless. Reception and concierge services are always of the... More

This was a Christmas present from our children which was tea at Fortnum and Mason followed by going to the Criterion Theatre to see the 39 Steps and staying at this Hotel, the great thing about the Hotel was where it was across the road to have tea and 200 yards to the Theatre and all the shops around about.... Dear 165000, It sounds like you had a very nice break with Afternoon Tea, a Show and staying at the Cavendish hotel. Our location could not have been better for what you were here to do. Hope you will be back in the future to try out our Pre Theatre menu as it is great value for money More

I stayed at the Cavendish for one night with my wife. It's in a great location. Right off of Piccadilly Circus and close to the Tube. The room was small but comfortable. Since it is tucked away from the main activity of Piccadilly, it was very quiet at night. Because I was staying here on a business trip, I didn't... More

My friend and I had a superb stay at The Cavendish. At Reception Rushed was very helpful as my friend had some mobility issues. The room was excellent. Restaurant was excellent as were the staff. Will certainly stay again.

Excellent location, right near Fortnum & Mason - easy walk to the tube and plenty of central locations. Good sized rooms, super modern and comfortable. Stayed 4 nights and no complaints! (Actually visited Aug 13 but won't let me set that date!)

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
