We picked the Cavendish as a base for our weekend in London primarily because of its location and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is a tower block directly behind Fortnum & Mason on the corner of Jermyn Street/Duke Street and is a few minutes walk from Green Park underground with Piccadilly Circus just a little... We stayed three nights and thought the Cavendish was perfect for our needs. It is a great location to base your sightseeing from and is easy walking to dining, shopping and not too far from the theatres so we walked everywhere. As we knew we would be very busy touring about, we wanted a good room to return and relax... More

We are regular visitors to London and have stayed at the Cavendish many times. On balance we find the Cavendish a perfect location that ticks most of the boxes. The rooms are very comfortable and adequately appointed. The staff are very personable and extremely helpful. The food is very good, the restaurant for dinner is excellent. The on site parking... I checked into the Cavendish hotel last Monday for a 1 night stay. As per the norm here the staff on entering the hotel could not do enough for you. I had stayed a few months prior and the young concierge gentleman remembered myself and asked if I would require a extension lead again, I was totally blown away by... More

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. We love the location, very central. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Staff are very helpful. It was my wife's birthday and there was a card and cake waiting for us in the room. We would not hesitate to book again,

We were visiting for a family wedding, arriving before check in to leave our bags. We were given a room that was already prepared. Our light lunch was very good and reasonably priced. The concierge service handled all minor arrangements for a stress free visit.

I just checked out of The Cavendish yesterday after 4 nights, and it was simply a lovely stay. The bed was so comfortable... I almost hate to admit this, but it might even be more comfortable than my bed at home! The location couldn't be beat - short walk to Piccadilly, Buckingham Palace, and directly behind Fortnum & Mason. It's... More

This was my first stay at the cavendish London and I have to say I was not disappointed. I had booked the hotel for a special occasion for my partners birthday. When we arrived we were automatically upgraded twice. I couldn't believe it. The room was spacious, had a fantastic bathroom and great amenities. The location was amazing, just opposite... More

Always enjoy staying at the Cavendish. Great location close to all attractions in central London, theatres, St James', Piccadilly & Regents Street. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, especially the extra space in the Superior rooms. Also pleased to see that free WiFi has been extended to all the rooms. Excellent breakfast - although at peak times on the weekend there... More

Efficient check-in and very clean and comfortable room. All the staff (concierge, breakfast room and front desk) impeccably polite and helpful. We often use the benchmark for hotels "Would we return?" The answer for the The Cavendish is an unqualified "YES!"

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
