Great location for shopping in London, within easy walking distance of Oxford Street and Regent Street. The hotel itself, however, is of poor standard. Our room (106) desperately needed to be refurbished, beds were very hard and uncomfortable, bathroom was disgusting with mold and stains, breakfast was a joke - with very limited choice, stale bread and the worst scrambled... This hotel must have been nice at one time. Not any more. Furnishings must not have been updated in decades. The beds were awful. We slept only because we were quite tired. Our room on the first floor was noisy, of course, due to traffic on the street. Bathroom was fairly large. The tub/shower was set quite high from the... More

I came here as a group of 4 males while we were at Wireless Festival at Finsbury Park, location wise is perfect as it is a 1 minute walk to the nearest Underground station which links you in with everything. Breakfast was ok, some croissants and other breads with some cereal choices, however no choices of meats/cheeses. The £4 for... More

Stayed 3 years ago and it was fair. Gone way down hill. So bad we tried to find alternative accomodation. Bed covers, old, faded and badly stained. Used these and blankets to cover carpet so we did not need to walk on it. No temperature control apart for fan that creaked all night. Main light in bathroom did not work. This... More

I stayed here with my parents in 1969 and 1970-back in the good old days. Very personable and a great location. I remember the front desk lady was Mrs McGillicuddy. English breakfast with grilled tomato.

Stayed for 4 nights. Located near Marble Arch Underground Station, Oxford Street and Edgware Road. Property is a bit dated and the room we stayed is a bit small. Breakfast ok but wifi is terrible. Price is expensive but compensated by its central location.

Very dated and in need of decoration. Over priced for what we paid. Not a nice experience for our grand children!!!!! Only good thing about it was its location. The whole hotel needed up dating and renovation as it was extremely run down. I would give it no stars if that was possible.

We stayed for 1 night and found the room to be exactly what we needed. It was clean and tidy, no luxuries but just what we required for 1 night in London. Great value for money especially given the location right by Park Lane and Marble Arch

Only for people who do t mind staying in a very simple hotel in a very simple-not recently renovated room! Besides that the location is perfect, 3 minutes walk from marble arch tube station, breakfast is simple but good.

I was in London for an evening work do and wanted a bed for the night in a Central west End location, without paying top dollar. This hotel is certainly well located being just North of Oxford Street, very close to Marble Arch. But that is about it. The bedroom was clean, but very dated, but exactly what I was... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
