Vancouver Studios is a wonderful place to stay in London. We were on foot shopping for a place to stay, when we came across Vancouver Studios. We needed a place for two weeks, so we were looking for a good value. Because we did not have a reservation, we ended up staying in four rooms at VS over the course... More

We had lovely rooms (at the back - the street side can be noisy) with everything we needed - even cooking/refrigerator so that we weren't limited to expensive restaurant food. Close to buses, tube & trains (short taxi ride or longish walk if you have luggage). Everything was clean. Rooms were small but not the smallest I've had. The only... More

Where to start?? It's just excellent: location, staff, clean rooms, beautiful english design. I Will go back for sure!! We had the 3 bedroom apartment and it could not have been better. A beautiful home away from home, clean which is not obvious in London, equipped with all you need and nice tasty biscuits for the morning coffee. Very generaous... More

We were a little nervous not being closer to the middle of everything because our London visit was short, but boy are we glad we found Bayswater. A few blocks from stations of two different tube lines, on a nice quiet street, but easy walking to all kinds of restaurants. Had we stayed longer we probably would have spent more... More

First things first. We loved this hotel. Not only a great location and comfortable rooms but really good décor which made it stand out from other hotels. Having coffee on our balcony overlooking the street was a real bonus. The staff was also very good indeed. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, That only caveat is that the... More

1st thing stuck me was the unexpected homely period feeling to this hotel. Spent a bit of time perusing all the decor, pictures, suit of armour and other bits of interest and a lovely garden to sneak out for a smoke in. Very much the feeling stepping in to a small oasis of a period drama. The staff where very... More

Our little studio apartment was perfect for a couple of nights in London. It was small but very well furnished & equipped. It was quiet & the bed was really comfortable! The desk is covered 24/7 & the staff were lovely & efficient. The location is good - about a 3 minute walk to Bayswater tube station or 6 minutes... More

This is the second time I have stayed here and will continue to return when I am in London. Had booked the single studio, but was upgraded to the Garden Suite which had french doors leading out to the garden area. Lovely staff and cleanliness was exceptional. Excellent location for walking to Notting Hill and close to tube stations.

This hotel had everything we wanted. I have mobility issues and they were accommodated. Lovely clean room, with kitchenette, and a wonderful garden for enjoying a drink and chat with other residents. Very busy part of London, but amazingly quiet

Stayed for 5 days in this gem of a hotel in Bayswater and had a great time. The location is very convenient, being only just around the corner from the tube and close to Hyde Park for walks. Lovely, comfortable beds and well appointed rooms. Be prepared for stairs if you have a room on upper floors, we didn't mind,... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
