On the day before we were to fly out our travel agent told us our accommodation had fallen thru and they found Vancouver Studios for us as an alternative. How lucky were we. Fantastic Location, shops just across the road and restaurants below our apartment. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Kitchen was great and had everything we needed. I... More

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel in January. Though I had booked the cheapest studio of their offering, I have been pleasantly surprised by the high standard of that room. The quality is really in line with what one would expect from a studio-offering for a business stay: spacious room, clean, perfect wifi connection, comfortable bed, quiet environment allowing... Wow! Such a quirky but highly pleasing hotel. I had room 12 which has a balcony which makes the morning coffee extra special. The decor is to a high standard and I found everyone on reception to be really helpful. Definitely will stay here again!! Tomorrow night in fact!

We stayed there two nights at one their appartments, although under street level it was bright and smartly planned with beautiful interior design. The only down side of our stay there was that the car service we ordered from the hotel to take us to Paddington station failed to show up and we had to walk in the rain with... More

This is a good place to stay when visiting London its just off Queensway with lots of resturants to choose from.Near two tube stations Queensway and Bayswater so handy location. The rooms all have modern facilities and small kitchen area, the double rooms all have there own style of decoration and furnishings every room is different even down to the... More

I'm often in London as a single traveller and London is a VERY expensive city if you are travelling alone. Vancouver Studios has a few very well appointed single rooms. The room I stayed in had a somewhat strange layout: open the room door from the hall and you are in a sort of anteroom that contains the sink and... More

Vancouver Studios is a wonderful place to stay in London. We were on foot shopping for a place to stay, when we came across Vancouver Studios. We needed a place for two weeks, so we were looking for a good value. Because we did not have a reservation, we ended up staying in four rooms at VS over the course... More

We had lovely rooms (at the back - the street side can be noisy) with everything we needed - even cooking/refrigerator so that we weren't limited to expensive restaurant food. Close to buses, tube & trains (short taxi ride or longish walk if you have luggage). Everything was clean. Rooms were small but not the smallest I've had. The only... More

Where to start?? It's just excellent: location, staff, clean rooms, beautiful english design. I Will go back for sure!! We had the 3 bedroom apartment and it could not have been better. A beautiful home away from home, clean which is not obvious in London, equipped with all you need and nice tasty biscuits for the morning coffee. Very generaous... More

We were a little nervous not being closer to the middle of everything because our London visit was short, but boy are we glad we found Bayswater. A few blocks from stations of two different tube lines, on a nice quiet street, but easy walking to all kinds of restaurants. Had we stayed longer we probably would have spent more... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
