We stayed at this hotel as the starting point for our european trip. The staff went out of their way to assist us with our travel plans , after leaving this hotel we travelled through europe, but made sure we ended our journey back where we started, and spent our last few days back at this hotel.Well done to all... A friend ones told me a joke: "How could people say they take a 3 minute shower when mine takes 10 minutes to warm up?" ;) Jokes aside, I was very impressed with this hotel. It has everything you need: a good location, fantastic decor, big, dark and quiet rooms, amazing toiletries, lovely customer service. There is only one thing... More

We had a Chinese traditional new year celebration buffet dinner in Parkcity conference room. There are 40 guests in total which is well-fit in this venue. Believe it can fit in more than 50+ guests and will be more attractive during summer time as there is a huge garden outside the conference room. Food is very tasty especially the Hainan... More

Lush hotel in an excellent location. Good price from last minute.com for South Kensington - 10 mins walk from the tube and the Natural History Museum! Room was huge, as was the shower, which was perfect. Slightly disappointed with the high price of the continental breakfast, but that was rectified by the Garfunkels up the road! Slow service at the... More

This was the second time I stayed in this hotel. My first experience - 4 or 5 years back - was better, although the second one was fine, too. The hotel is located in a quite street between Gloucester Rorad and Earls Court tube stations. The area has many good restaurants, bars, etc. The hotel building is typically British. The... More

Nicely sized room, but the air conditioning didn't seem to work properly. Stepping into my floor (3rd floor) felt like a sauna. The most irritating thing about this hotel was the wifi. It was incredibly slow and would constantly disconnect. I heard others complaining about the wifi. If you are in need of internet during your stay, AVOID this hotel.... More

Upon making a prepaid reservation I was told on arrival that the reservation system is down and my room wouldn't be made available (in spite producing a confirmation receipt and proof of payment), and was asked to leave. Upon making a reservation at another hotel on my wait out the reception attendant told me if I leave they would not... More

We stayed here for the night after visiting the Ideal Home Christmas Exhibition at Earls Court. My family used to own one of the houses in Lexham Gardens, and I remembered this hotel but had never been inside. The reception staff were friendly and polite. Rooms are a little on the small side, but had everything one needs, and were... More

My family and I stayed at the ParkCity this spring during our London vacation. We arrived very tired after flying from the U.S. overnight. The staff was very friendly and helpful and got us into a great room very quickly. They were patient with all my questions about features and directions, and they remembered us by name as we returned... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
