Location was great, very quiet and safe neighborhood and within walking distance to Kensington gardens and Palace. Receptionist was very friendly and answered a lot of questions. Would've been nicer if we didn't have a room in the basement but we had a last minute booking from our travel agent. Other than that it was nice!

Single room was very small without air-condition. It was very hot to sleep (stayed in June). However the bed was good and service was excellent. The breakfast was standard with a good variety of bread, cheese etc. Location is very good only a couple of minutes away from undergroud station and Kensington park. Good quality for money.

Spent 6 nights in a Double Room as part of my 2 weeks Europe trip. Location: Just 5 mins off Bayswater tube station which Circle and District Lines run though. Paddington Station is also about 15 mins away where you can catch Heathrow Express to the airport - this has proven critical as I arrived on the weekend when Bayswater... More

I found this hotel on TripAdvisor, and it easily hit all my requirements. Well kept, well run, reasonable price, and a great location. I was very happy with it (I got a single room with a bathroom). Even the included continental breakfast was good. I would most definitely stay here again. Location-wise, it's just over a 10-minute walk to Paddington... More

We actually booked to stay next door in Kensington Gardens Hotel but were given a room in the Phoenix. Twin room for my mother and myself was everything we could have wished for. Polite staff, comfortable beds, very clean bathroom and decent continental breakfast. At the more than reasonable price we paid it was a great deal. Many thanks for... More

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast is good and excellent service, very friendly staff. Central location and close to shops, restaurant and transport(trains and buses). Walking distance to Kensignton Palace and Portobello Road (market).

Good location, tasteful decoration, comfortable bar and excellent buffet breakfast. Room was well appointed but very cramped as was the en-suite. No towels in the room but this was readily sorted when reported. Otherwise the service was good.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
