I had short visit to London last week with friends. There were no big expectations for this hotel, but everything turned out really nice and hotel itself only enriched our travel. The best thing about it is amazing, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Location was also great. Hotel is situated in very quiet side street, but you can reach lots... More

The hotel is located in a very nice area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. You would expect (street) noice ... But nothing! We had room 113 and woke up to singing birds!! One negative point: the double bed was too small for my husband and me, when I turned, he woke. When he turned, I fell out of... More

Great location, really central, and the service was really good - very helpful and friendly staff. The room was lovely, really clean and quiet. Large variety of nice foods for breakfast. Will definitely be staying again!

Good breakfasts, the service was good, beautiful reception area, in a nice area of London. There was no problem getting a very early breakfast on the day I checked out, either. The only downside of this hotel was that the safe was only large enough for documents.

Great little tourist hotel in Kensington. Quiet, clean, friendly, good WiFi,but the rooms can be very tiny. Breakfast is a highlight. They will bring you anything, you just have to ask. Location is very good just minutes from Hyde Park, the tube and good shopping.

We visited London on a weekend belated break to go and see Lord of the dance so booked a nights stay in hotel. We actually booked to stay in the sister hotel next door but when we arrived we had been upgraded to the Phoenix and it didn't disappoint, the room was spotless as was the ensuite. Would definitely book... More

Clean, professional and a generous, hearty breakfast in the morning. There aren't any frills and fancies there, but for an affordable hotel in London I thought it was very good indeed. it's located away from the noise but near enough to the tube station.

I was very pleased with my stay in this hotel. My room was clean. It was not particularly spacious but comfortable. The hotel is situated in nice location on the very quiet street. I could hear birds singing in the morning. Hotel staff was very professional. Breakfast was ok - I can not complain. The service you get is equivalent... More

I stayed here last year with friends. This is a good hotel for the money. Front desk staff are helpful. Rooms are kept clean and tidy. Location is a huge plus, it is a short walk to two tube stations and a short walk to Kengsington Gardens. In short, yes I would stay here again.

What a wonderful hotel. It is spotlessly clean everywhere. The service from reception to the dining room was excellent. The room, a twin, had everything we needed. The room & ensuite are also spotless. We couldn't fault it.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
