I thought the hotel was very bad. The reception was undergoing a major renovation, it looks awful! I wasn't informed of that before my stay! It just looks like a cheap hostel rather than a hotel. The location is great and building looks good from the outside...so what! Inside it's very mediocre place. The corridors are so narrow I couldn't... More

First things first. The hotel is nice and quaint. It's clean and decor/furnishings average. The street is quiet and it's only a very short walk to a nice part of the city filled with shops, restaurants and bars. Close to 2 tube stations, you're never far from the rest of the city. Wifi is free. The big let down for... More

Must have been the smallest room I have ever stayed in. However, I only booked it as somewhere to sleep whilst I caught up with friends in London. Excellent location, staff were very helpful, whilst the breakfast was nothing outstanding it was certainly better than some places I have stayed at. For a central place to sleep at a reasonable... I stayed at Phoenix for three nights, from Sunday to Wednesday. We had two rooms, one for the teenaged kids and one for the adults. Adult room was a quite small, but we had all we needed, and the kids just on the other side of the corridoor. The location was perfect: tube station close by, easy access to the... More

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, 3 adults; the room was pretty good as it had a "balcony" in the room that the 3rd bed was located there. The shower was very good and large (seemed like it was renovated lately). The acoustic in the rooms is horrible so if you are a light sleeper you may wake... More

Spent a couple of nights at a weekend, cheap room, and good value. The room was small, but all I was doing was sleeping and showering. In a quiet area, so no trouble with noise, clean, OK breakfast, pleasant staff, 24 hr manned reception. I will use this hotel again. Not 5 star, but neither are the prices!

good value for money hotel in central London. Very clean room and bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. both tube stations only 5mins away. Would have no problem staying here again. I had a single room and was very adequate for my size ( 14-16) a larger person may have a problem with the bathroom.
