This hotel gave us a wonderful experience. Large rooms, friendly staff, this hotel is beautiful. Clean, tidy and with a fantastic dining room serving from breakfast through to dinner. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone going to London. Located opposite Hyde Park near Marble Arch, Central London at its finest!!

We stayed in the Hotel for six days during June. Location could not be better. Just a few steps from the underground and opposite the park. This in an old building that is very well cared for. Our room was large by European standards. It is very clean. Bed (double) was very comfortable although a little narrow. Bathroom was simple,... More

Downside: Furnishings are a bit worn, floors somewhat uneven and a slow elevator holds two if they stand very closely together. The lighting in our room was terrible, could barely see to read at night. Upside: That said, the service was excellent and staff was friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was superb. The attached restaurant was very good. The location... More

As others have stated, the hotel is quite small and dated, but I suppose this is part of its charm for some travellers. The bar is cosy and the dining room is pleasant enough. We ate at the hotel on our first evening and the food was quite acceptable. The breakfast is basic continental. Martin (barman) and Paula (waitress/bar) were... More

If you are looking for ultra plush, modern surroundings with a sparking pool and other amenities this is NOT the hotel for you. If you would like to stay in what was once a private house, then boarding for the Polish Air Force during WWII, then transformed into a charming hotel, then this is the place for you. A bus... More

We stopped in here one hot Sunday afternoon for a cream tea on the terrace, and I'm so glad we did. It's a secluded little sun trap decoarted with countless roses (100 according to the hotel). The hotel itself is a really rather dated, and the terrace could use a little love to make it super sharp, but the service... More

I stayed in a small room and it was quite difficult and dangerous to get in and out of the bath tub for my showers. Plumming is also dated with difficulty to adjust the water temperature.Wifi is very good and easy to connect to and the staff is friendly and helpfull. The buffet breakfast is not impressive mainly bread and pastries... This hotel is not a modern, cookie-cutter hotel. I felt I had stepped back in time. All the charm one would expect in an old hotel: small, very cozy bar, comfortable reception area, tiny elevator, great location.....Paddington station is four blocks away and Underground across street from hotel. Just by chance I got upgraded to a suite - I felt... More

Location is ideal - across the street from Lancaster Gate tube station and entrance to Hyde Park. Room, a deluxe twin, was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Common areas very nice. Elected to include bfast and glad we did. Food was good and plenty for starting the day. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

We stayed here one night, before flying back to USA. The staff was very helpful is arranging us transportation to Heathrow in the early morning and even gave us coffee while we waited for the other gals to come down in the morning. ( 4 of us) 10:00 am flight) The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, may need... More
