I booked the night before for my wife's birthday to try and earn a few brownie points and WOW our stay was amazing. Mention any special occasion when booking. The staff were completely amazing and did all they could to ensure we felt very special. Take advantage of the luxury spa facilities and fine dining restaurant. Highly recommended and we'll... More

I bookedThe Montcalm for a two-day special spa treat with my sister. The staff were friendly and helpful; our rooms (Club) were fine. Unlike the previous lucky reviewers we were not offered an upgrade! Unfortunately the "no smoking" policy was obviously not observed by some guests and the smell of cigarette smoke was strongly in the corridor on occasion, and... More

Amazing place and friendly staff. It has a lovely location in central london. Easy access to the public transport eg. the underground and buses. Tops it off is that shopping is just near by. The staff are also amazing and friendly

With my 50+ visits to the UK I experienced the best staff ever at Montcalm. Everyone was very pro with an elegant still genuine touch, friendly, up-to-date with best restaurant choice in town, had a good sense of humour - just splendid! Special thanks to the gems Marius and Kaamen at the concierge desk! Room quiet, no traffic noise (even... More

Very prestigious hotel with very friendly staff; they provide services that you will not get it in other hotel in the same area. A room with a club is a good choice for business people. Very close to Oxford street and other landmarks

Quite possibly the best service we have recieved in any 5 star hotel we have stayed in. Whilst in some hotels the staff are incredibly professional the approach to guests can sometimes feel cold and impersonal, this is not the case at The Montcalm. The hotel has a contemporary interior and the suite was beyond our expecations in all aspects.... More

I find that a lot of London hotels pride themselves on their 5* status and advertise this fact with their 5* prices but I often end up feeling a little bit hard done by upon arrival and during my stay. However, this is not the case with The Montcalm. From arrival to check out everything was perfect. The doorman, the... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
