My husband & I stayed here in April of 2008. It was part of a "package" with Air France. We took the Underground from the airport--it wasn't too much trouble but we did encounter some stairs. The room & bathroom were satisfactory--not large but clean & suited our purpose of sleeping & washing up. The complimentary breakfast was the usual... more

We booked this very last minute hotel through laterooms.com and got a great deal. I was a bit worried about our queen sized bed as my 6'4" fiance does tend to hog our king sized at home (!)but it looked like a normal double to me. First impressions were very good - a minute from Marble Arch, relaxing, calm interior... more

This was one of my favorite hotels in London with its excellent location and exemplary service, however it seems that nothing has been touched in the past two and half years since my last visit and the staff seemed a little indifferent. There was no one to open the doors when my husband and I arrived. Check in was done... more

We stayed at the Montcalm for 6 nights & loved it! The concierge was extremely helpful, the housekeeping staff polite and efficient, the room service good & timely. The only drawbacks were that the lobby has a slight fish smell due to the dining & Japanese food served (along with other). The dining room was too warm in the mornings... more

Spent one night here with a friend. We normally stay at the Grange Holborn but fancied a change.. i am so glad we stayed here. Location is less than 5mins from Marble Arch station. Hotel is beautifully presented and has a calming ambience as soon as you walk in. We found the hotel to be personal, friendly and very nicely... more

Excellent location within easy walking distance of Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Park Lane. The hotel is sited off the main road and therefore is very quiet. Check in/ check out is relaxed and efficient and the concierge very helpful. The hotel is owned by a Japanese airline which has sold a lot of it's assetts worldwide, perhaps this explains... more

Our party had four rooms in this hotel for one Saturday night. This hotel has its flaws but given the rate we got through www.booking.com of 109 UKL per double room it represented excellent value. Had I been paying anything close to the rack rate of 250UKL I would not have rated it so highly. The location is excellent. It... more

We booked the Montcalm as a last minute break.Got a great rate through London nights.com.The hotel was in a good, central location. The staff were friendly, and helpful. We had booked a duplex suite, and were more than happy. The suite consisted of 2 rooms over 2 floors, with a spiral staircase. The rooms could be entered on either floor. Although there was... more

We have stayed at his hotel 3 times in the last 4 years. The location remains terrific, the restaurant excellent and the hotel staff accommodating. Unfortunately, there have been no noticeable improvements in the last 4 years. TV's are old, and the room decor is the same as it was 4 years ago. In short, the Montcalm needs a "spiffing... more

I was looking for a hotel in the vicinity of Oxford Street, but still in a quiet location. The Montcalm Nikko met my expectations quite well. I had booked a "Single Elegant Quiet Room" via Expedia. At first I got a room next to the elevator, which was not that quiet. After I spoke to reception they immediately moved me... more
