I was a bit concerned on the possible nuisance caused by noise or smell generated from renovation before my stay. To my pleasant surprise, there is virtually no inconvenience or nuisance caused. If you don't notice from the outside of the cover that they made to seal up the renovated wing, you probably won't realize that there is renovaton ongoing.... More

You sense the history as you walk in through the doors of this fabulous hotel in Mayfair. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Ballroom is the only Art Deco Ballroom left in London which is stunning. The Palm Court is a great place to have a welcome break over a drink, coffee etc.

Stayed at The Park Lane in March of 2015, and while there is renovation underway on the facade of the hotel, interior renovations are desperately needed in the rooms. The famous tea room is still as charming as ever, but the room we stayed in (on the first floor, i.e. one level above ground) was cold, and out of date.... More

Having read a number of negative reviews I was reluctant to go through with my stay at this hotel. However, all my fears vanished when I walked into my traditional, large bedroom. It was clean bright and immaculate. I will definitely be back. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The entrance is peculiar being at the back of the hotel... More

Stayed 1 night with my daughter for London shopping Hotel under renovation but was not disturbed at all. Nice, quit room in 3rd floor. Room need upgrading but was clean and ok. Very good service all over. Everybody was super friendly and we felt very welcome. I love buffet breakfast with sparkling but this property does not have that. The... More

we stayed on 8April, several complaints. It is not 5star more 3 star, on returning from the theatre at 10.20pm the main entrance front doors on Piccadily were locked , no lights on!! Had to gain entry via a grubby back street under scaffolding, no apology for not telling visitors of no night access from main entrance nor any sign.... More

We loved the proximity of this hotel to many central London locations and the tube. The bar area/tea room of this hotel was very beautiful and it is a historic location. However, the rooms were a little old, tired and sad. We had a view of a very industrial looking courtyard. I know the hotel is under renovation so hopefully... More

Overall, the hotel isn't as terrible as some of the reviews. It's is a CLASSIC British hotel. The rooms are not brand new but they are spacious and clean. The beds are quite comfortable and bathrooms are nice. I stayed on the top floor and while a touch noisy due to renovations, nothing crazy. I had no insane alarm waking... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
