Location is superb. A bit old fashion hotel. Windows impossible to open. Just as good, as I allways get a room towards the back yard I would prefer the traffic noise. Breakfast ordinary and expensive. Trousers press in the room broken.

It's a very nice hotel, the food is really good, the location is ideal if you plan to do some shopping, but their internet sucks! It's hard to believe you actually have to pay for it! I do recommend staying here, though.

Myself and my boyfriend and another couple stayed at this hotel, we booked it through lastminute.com and it was a secret hotel booking. We didnt spend much time in the room, and didnt opt for breakfast. On our arrival our bags were taken and we did the paper work but couldnt check into room. Check in was at 2pm, this... More

The hotel bar manager here could benefit from going on a course. The Barman was excellent, personable and informative. The remaining staff, and in particular, the waitresses a) didn't welcome us but simply barked "the children can't go near the bar" b) Told our children off for playing quietly with magic cards rather than speaking to us to say there... Quite a nice hotel in the centre of high end shopping and close to oxford street. I stayed here last week on business and therefore close to shopping was not an issue. It seems to becoming fashionable in London to add charges for additional services such as WIFI, and the Westbury is no different. However not providing tea and coffee... More

Dear GrahamSSouthport, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that despite enjoying certain features at The Westbury, such its ideal location just off of Bond Street, London’s most exclusive shopping district as well as our friendly and helpful staff, you found others to be unsatisfactory. In regards to the in-room tea and coffee making facilities, these can... More

My husband and I stayed in this Hotel at the end of November for my birthday weekend in London and were extremely disappointed as our last stay was definitely 5* but how things have changed in two years. The room was quite small compared to our last stay. We had to pay for WIfi and there wasn't even a kettle... More

Exceptional location, but what really niggles, is the charge for wi fi, £25 for 3 days, that's just mean and is unworthy of a 5 star hotel! Walls in our room were paper thin, and whilst it was nice to get a restaurant recomendation from our neighbours: we didn't really want to hear it forkful by forkful after midnight. Staff... More

Had a queen room and first impressions were that it was a little small and the décor had been robbed from other ex-refurbished rooms in the hotel and put together in ours to make one semi decent room, although the room was OK, it wasn't what I was expecting, carpet not fitted properly, bathroom clean but needing replacing although the... Well located hotel with good service - bang in the centre of London. Convenient. Tea/coffee makers in the rooms are not provided. There is a tray charge for every room service order - which is fine. But GBP 10 for every Tea/Coffee order to the room .... During check out the cashier says - Oh, you should have asked for... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
