Stay here with a group of friends 2 of whom were celebrating their 50th birthdays. The hotel was lovely with luxury surroundings. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was ordered from the menu and served at the table and was one of if not the best ~London breakfast I have had so far. The footmen on the door... More

im fortunate to spend a lot of time in London hotels with work, many of the 5 star hotels I've stopped in are barely 4 star, the Westbury is 5 star luxury. We stopped on the 7 floor and had a large balcony with great room too views, service was excellent from reception, to porters to the doormen. Great for... More

Just returned from a 1 night stay at The Westbury. Booked the hotel via lastminute.com as a secret deal. Ideal location for us as it meant we did not use the tube once. Good location for afternoon tea at The Ritz and for theaters. Barely spent any time in the room however it was a good size with a kingsize... More

I was given Room 214 at around 11pm when I checked into the hotel for one night. The lady who checked me in mentioned that they weren't anywhere close to being full up, yet I was given what could arguably be the noisiest and pokiest room in Mayfair! Being situated with a window overlooking the road and the door located... More

Booked this for my girlfriend for our anniversary and when I arrived the hotel told us that they had upgraded us to a king suite(I think that's the name) so this already put the hotel far above my expectations! The room was massive and really nicely decorated we were so impressed and they even put a little anniversary cake on... More

This hotel is in a great location. The bar and Alyn Williams restaurant were fantastic. The paper thin walls in the room meant that we could hear everything that the couple next door said and did. Charging for wifi and no tea/coffee or even water in the room were also disappointing.

Dear hd21uk Thank you for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed our location in the heart of Mayfair and your dining experience at our Michelin starred restaurant Alyn Williams at The Westbury. I am sorry to hear that you found the noise emitting from the interconnecting room quite distracting, as we make every effort of refraining from allocating our... More

A short stay for a weekend with the whole family totally of ten people. Pretty good value for the room charges. Quite convenient location for shopping, within walking distance to the stores on Regent Street, like Hamleys; and also the whole foods market.

Stayed in the Westbury this weekend. On arrival doorman took our bags and gave us a ticket for them to be brought to the room. After 30 mins and chasing it twice to be told they were on their way we gave up and went out and asked the desk to just to unfold and hang the suit bags in... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
