This hotel offers plush public areas, The bedrooms are small as expected in central London but the Rooms are clean and tidy. The rooms don't have a kettle which seemed a little strange. I didn't know until we arrived what fantastic restaurants were onsite so if you don't have dinner plans book into one of the fantastic restaurants. The location... More

The Hotel was in a perfect position, the room was very clean and comfortable but we were disappointed to not have tea/coffee facilities in the room, especially as we had booked a superior room. Having an adjoining room was not good as you could hear all that went on in the adjoining room (especially with a young couple!!) Overall we... More

We stayed here as the location was perfect for our trip to the theatre. From the moment we stepped out of our taxi all of the staff were attentive and wanted to ensure our needs were met. We had a king size room, it was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and one of the best we... More

I guess this place is living on old merits. Extremely small rooms and terrible service. As I was heading for meetings, I needed an iron/board. I was promised this within 20 min. After 45 min waiting, I called again. Then I was told that they "hoped to be able to bring it soon but couldn't promise anything" . Please consider... More

This is an average 4 star hotel, in a fabulous location if you were unable to walk a mile or so to the upmarket shops of Mayfair. If you are able to walk, I would recommend a different hotel. The room was tiny, as was the bathroom. Deafening airconditioning. Cheap toiletries, so you'll need to bring your own. It's not... More

Having read the reviews regarding the Westbury hotel I was very apprehensive about what to expect. I was worried about having a dated and decomposing room. Thus at checkin I decided to take a cable and upgrade to a Superior King room, bringing the total for the night to a staggering £240 - a foolish decision. The good things about... More

This hotel is grossly overrated - the kingsized room which I upgraded to is pokey crammed with old furniture. The bathroom is tiny. Thank god I was staying alone - it's an over priced hotel with faded grandeur and arrogant staff. The only thing going for the hotel is the location but there are better alternatives nearby that give better... More

We booked two rooms at this hotel over the bank holiday to celebrate my husbands birthday with friends. We arranged to meet further friends in the bar to start the evenings celebrations as you do when you're celebrating a birthday. We were horrified when the bar manager approached us to keep the noise down which was simple laughter by the... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
