I had misgivings about booking the Colliers because of the many negative reviews of this hotel on TripAdvisor. My worries turned out to be unfounded. I doubt I could have found anything better in the area for the price I paid (£40 per night, including a simple breakfast, on Expedia). It's not a fancy hotel, but everything worked as it... More

For my standards it's very poor, but I know the British's standards and it's ok. Very kind staff and breakfast good, but very old rooms (also the breakfast one) and small. Fantastic if you stay there only a few days because it's very quite and in the meanwhile it's located in a fantastic position, in the centre, very close both... More

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed, a hostel would have been a better option in hindsight. The room was small, smelly, dirty, cold. Despite booking in advance we were given a room in the basement with a charming view of the hotels skip, the window did not close or open properly and the bathroom was disgusting. Black marks... Stay away, there are better places available. Believe me, anything can be better than this place. The smallest hotel room ever. I've been to a lot of places but this was the most overpriced match box I've ever seen. Breakfast is OK, but everything else is pathetic. On the lower floors, you'll not sleep well, they'll always creak at the... More

The bathroom was something out of a future space pod, with stains all over. and a very high step in to it. the breakfast was shocking, i walked down to the breakfast room following the non helpful signs to be confronted with what looked like a hostel common room, with 70's dinner table chairs and very sparce amount of food,... Needed to stay in London for 2 nights and at 245 quid i expected something better than a dilapidated attic room up a dirty staircase with hardly any room to move, a single bulb in the ceiling light that worked, the bed side lamps were broken. The en suite was what can be best described as a fiberglass phone box... More

The rooms are just gross, and I'm not picky. I feared the beds weren't even washed. The floors couldn't have been vacuumed in the last month. The shower stall floor was so grimy that I washed me feet after exiting. This is truly only for a mega cheap stay where you won't be spending any time I the room. My... More

Small, clean, functional, although slightly dated room. Good wifi (for £2.50 extra per day). Only 5 mins walk from Victoria. For the price, this is about as good as you can reasonably expect to get in London.

Well, I went to London for 3 days just to visit my girlfriend. I found this hotel, which is just like 300 meters from Victoria Station - and that is fantastic. I took one of the rooms with a bathroom and by reading other reviews I realized that that was a great choice. It was so very small, but it... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
