The room at top corner is very nice and useful. Heating with private airconditon but still warm and nice room. Breakfast is not so high quality. Location is the best for value. Reception very helpful .2 metro stations are close by 5-7 minute walk. silent room.

We stayed for two nights In a ground floor double room, clean, well equipped, but very small, with virtually no natural light, wouldn't have wanted to spend more than two nights. Breakfast overpriced at £16.95 per head, but plenty of places to eat locally.

Perfect location, close to the tube station and easy to find. The hotel staff were very friendly. Porter gave some great recommendations for places to eat nearby. Would definitely use this hotel again.

It's just what we wanted: sensibly priced place to sleep on a night out in London. Smooth check in, pleasant room (although slightly smelly and tatty). No major complaints, but nothing special. We'd stay here again.

I was looking for comfortable but not too expensive in central London during a conference. Marginally over £100 including breakfast I was not expecting much but pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly with good English and a selection of other languages. Room nicely presented very clean and with space for a desk and dressing table. Lovely big shower with free toiletries. Room... Having stayed in several Mercure hotels, most recently at the Mercure in Dusseldorf in November 2015, I was surprised at the size of the room. It is no exaggeration to say that the wet room alone in Dusseldorf was bigger than the room in Bloomsbury - and less expensive! Credit where it's due, I had a bit of a moan... More

This hotel does not deserve the 4-star classification as advertised on the Accor website. I know that London is difficult when it comes to hotels ... however, rooms MUST (!) have a decent size if the hotel wants to qualify for a star rating. At check-in, I was told that I had been granted an upgrade. When I got to... More

Having looked at previous reviews before staying I can't understand the terrible reviews. People can be very unlucky/picky. It looked like from the managers responses if you emailed requests first they would try to accommodate you. We requested a late check out which was granted and on arrival asked for a room at the back as the street it's on... More

The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, the breakfast was very nice and plenty choice and plenty of it. The room was very smart, a bit small, but that did not matter. Comfortable bed. Close to many popular sights.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
