This is a four-star hotel located some 300 meters away from the British Museum, a location we've visited before. It is located in central London, neighboring regions we also enjoy, like Soho and Mayfair. It is central enough for us to walk to the places we like to go, or to just take our beloved Central tube line. The hotel... More

Hotel is ideally located into a well deserved area and close to many touristic attraction. Rooms are rather small but well equipped, got a single room but at the end it turned ok. Bathroom is also ok equipped but shower only. The biggest issue was the noise, as shown on the picture attached, there is a big space under the... More

I keep coming back to this hotel because it offers a good combination of reasonable cost, good location and good rooms. However not all rooms are that good - I've had some small cramped rooms and some larger corner rooms that are excellent. Overall, its a clean hotel with good beds, reasonable service and good airconditioning for summer!

We flew into london on the 2nd of July this year. We arrived by train to Russell square station and walked to the hotel. Easy walk even with luggage. Hotel staff were welcoming and very friendly. Rooms were a good size and clean. Great location to everything. This was our first trip overseas so being in a great location meant... More

We spent 7 nights at the Mercure and were quite pleased with our choice of hotel in terms of value, location and quality. Our group had three rooms which we had requested to be in close proximity, in fact they were contiguous which was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. The rooms were facing away from Southhampton so outside noise... More

All in all good value for money in a centrally situated hotel. Room was decent size and clean. Surprisingly quiet, even when facing Southhampton Row. Only the staff's command of English needs improving, although friendly and helpful enough.

A very pleasant experience, we had two rooms on the 5th floor 510 and 514. 510 was smaller but adequate and certainly asking for high floors and at the rear was a good idea due to traffic both inside and out. Don't look for panoramic views of London, you will be dissapointed! An excellent Buffet Breakfast was included, you just... More
