The hotel is fine, modern and centrally located, if a bit noisy. I like the nespresso machine in the room. However the free wifi does not work at all. My iPad has been unable to load even a simple web page without timing out. I would prefer to pay extra for wifi that actually works. It is not possible to... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in July 2014. The hotel is in a great area near Russell Square and Holborn tube station and is well placed for all that London has to offer. Rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, although compact, but were very good for my requirements. Service was excellent, the rate was very reasonable for a room... More

The key test of a hotel is whether you would return and we definitely would. The hotel is of good quality throughout. Being an old building, the room sizes vary. We paid for a larger room and the room was a very good size, with an excellent quality bed. Holborn tube station is about 5 minutes walk and Russell Square... More

This was a wonderful hotel. The price is reasonable for London, and the room was amazing and very large. We arrived early on a Friday morning and they had a room available and let us check in right away. They had told us they would charge us for checking before 10:00AM, but they didn't. The front desk people are great... More

Stayed for one night in a surprisingly large and quiet triple room. Room was very clean, well appointed and felt secure. Staff friendly and welcoming. We didn't sample the food so can't comment on that. The only downside was the very soft mattress but for one night this was fine.

Just returned from two nights at the Mercure London Bloomsbury. Really impressed with the hotel as we had stayed here before the mercure group had taken it over. Obviously alot of money has been spent here and the refurbishment has paid off. The room was only a standard room but was adequate and nicely decorated. The bathroom had a good... More

I was i London for business and stayed three nights at this hotel. I had a pleasant stay. It is a well kept, comfortable and clean hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a single standard room which was small (however that's how hotel rooms are in London) but had everything I needed from a... More
