It's a lovely hotel, very well positioned in London so as to make theatre land and many other attractions easily accessible. Nice sized rooms, with oh so comfortable double bed. The place is clean, well looked after, has a great shower and bath facility. Breakfasts are good and the restaurant offers a fair choice of food. The staff are friendly... More

We needed somewhere which would let us walk to the various points in London, and this hotel ticked that box totally. The staff were truly wonderful and the rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was efficient, tasty and fresh! We will definitely stay here again.

Booked a one night mid-week stay. Very handy for tourist attractions, choice of eateries, transport etc. Staff were excellent throughout the hotel. Room was very comfortable and air-conditioned, bit on the small side but hey this is London so can't complain on those grounds. Did find a large old stain on the quilt cover as we were getting into bed,... More

This hotel is a boutique hotel with a good breakfast/restaurant area and bar. It is situated close to the West End theatres and close to tube stations. For those who are on a budget, there are nearby supermarkets and small convenience stores.

This Mercure delivers a good standard throughout its range of services. Both rooms were perfectly adequate but not spacious and a little gloomy although this was not unexpected given it is an older "mansion block" style building. Our rooms were facing the centre atrium which is not a nice view but has its compensation in that it was quiet and... More

Dear Cicero57, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor. We are happy to see that our hotel has met your expectations and that our staff has been friendly and polite. We are indeed located on a centenial Victorian building, which makes any change and adaptation very restrictive. Still, we are happy to see that you... More

Hotel is in a great location and very handy for walking to Covent Garden and theatre Land. We parked at The Imperial Hotel underground car park which cost us £32 for 36 hours which was quite reasonable and only a few hundred yards from the Bloomsbury. We arrived early at 1.00pm and asked if we could check in early as... More

We stayed here for 2 nights from 13th August 2015. Myself and 2 daughters had the triple room on the first floor. We go away quite regularly and often have trouble finding a triple room. This room is great, a good size, 3 single beds. Very clean and very comfortable, Location is great for us as it's a short walk... More

We did not stay at this hotel but we stopped off and had a drink at their bar on the front of the hotel. The bar was very nice, had outside seating, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The drinks are not cheap but around about the same prices as the pubs in London. They gave our free nibbles... More

I always get a good room her, maybe not so large every time, (you can pay a bit extra for that), but good enough for me and always with a desk for work. Clean room and bathroom and a good bed for a good nights sleep. The breakfast is always well above average, served by a very friendly staff. The... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
