Excellent hotel in a great location for the West End. We had a superior room on the fifth floor and it was very quiet. Worth paying the extra for a privilege room. A large very comfortable bedroom with all the usual hospitality extra's including expresso machine. Didn't have breakfast as it was a bit expensive but probably the going rate... More

I really like this hotel! I've been in London quite a lot and this is the fourth time I stay here. The hotel is within walking distance from Covent Garden and Oxford Street and just outside you will find nice coffee shops and restaurants. The rooms are upgraded just recently and they all have a modern look! Breakfast is 10... More

Stayed here for a birthday weekend trip to London to see a show in the west end, location was excellent and was only a short walk to Russel square underground station or to convent gardens. We had a room which was at the back and although the view out the window wasn't much (a brick wall) it was very quiet.... More

Poor. Bed super soft, very uncomfortable, exacerbated by cheapo bedding. Tv did not work properly and loud hum a constant from outside. I had to sleep with the radio on, to drown it out. Just depressing.

I had a couple of meetings in London planned but also needed a city centre location that wasn't aimed for tourists. The Mercure offered just that. I stayed in a Standard Double Room and contrary to the reviews on here, the size was perfect! I was at the top floor, room 704. The room was fairly clean a few stains... More

A great hotel close to the centre and to public transports. A clean room facing a busy street but it was surprisingly silent, I wasn't disturbed at all. My room had a desk for work, Internet is important for my work and it worked well, a bit slow sometimes but stable. The breakfast was really great, with a staff eager... More

I've been staying at Mercure hotels in many different cities, but never had such a disappointing experience as here. Hotel staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, speaking poor English, there were unnecessary problems with the credit card while the stay had been booked online and paid in advance, Wi-Fi was "forgotten" at check-in, breakfast was utterly chaotic, etc. I am a... Stayed here whilst visiting the London Markets, close to Kings Cross Station, 20 Minute’s Walk, several restaurant’s in the vicinity or one in the hotel. I requested a quiet room prior to arrival which we got, also took advantage of the breakfast offer at check in only £10pp. Nice quiet bar area to chill out also. Hotel is situated on... More

I never wrote reviews, my English is not good. I am really sorry. During our trip to London we wanted to have nice food somewhere in the centre close with the British Museum and we were very happy to find that nice offer on Amazon Local. The restaurant was beautiful and not full. Everything was good but then the waiter... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
