I needed a hotel to attend a conference at the British Museum and this was the ideal location. I had a "small double room" which has a 4ft bed and the overall space is really too small for two people, but fine for one. Nicely decorated and the bathroom all worked well. WiFi and a/c good, complimentary bottled water. I... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in October. Had a small double room which was adequate for one person and had the advantage over a single room of having a double bed. Good toiletries, tea and a Nespresso coffee machine--- kept topped up during stay. On 6th floor at back so no traffic noise but no noise from fellow guests either.... More

We were very excited by the location and the price. We were close to two Underground stations and the bus stopped right in front of the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful. Pretty decent walk down to Buckingham and Big Ben areas, but we did it multiple days. The water pressure and shower temperature was great, and the... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in October. Our check in was easy, and the room, though small, was spotless. There were basic toiletries, tea/coffee etc, and I left a note for our chambermaid who kindly left us the tea we required. The room had a double bed, a chair, dressing table, wardrobe and safe deposit box with... More

With a great location, nice rooms, friendly staff and a nice breakfast, this hotel is difficult to beat. The location is close to Holborn Underground Station, which will get you pretty much anywhere in central London easily. The theater district and Coven Gardens were just a pleasant walk away. The hotel itself was clean and well managed. Our room had... More

walkable from St Pancras station (even with a luggage...albeit about 20mins). inlcuded breakfast which was plentiful with good options. smallish sized rooms but that shouldnt be an issue in a city like london (so much to do and what would you expect otherwise?) wifi was free and pretty good. no fitness facilities.

Trying to find a well located hotel in London at a reasonable cost is not easy. The Mercure Bloomsbury fits the bill. clean, convenient, cost effective, quiet, decent staff, decent breakfast. it is no world beater, but if you want that, pay another couple of hundred a night and you'll find plenty of htels that will satisfy you. This hotel... More

We arrived this evening to be shown into a room which stank of cigarettes. We aren't usually ones to complain, but I suffer from asthma and I really could not stay in the room. We called reception and asked to be move to another room, only to be shown to a tiny room with a bed that was only bearly... More

I stayed here for one night as my normal hotel was overbooked - and would not stay here again. The location is decent - between Holborn/Russell Square and walking distance to the British Museum. The rooms were also very clean - I didn't notice anything of concern based on other reviews. Not visible dirt or odd smells. The rooms are... More

Dear anchmer, Thank you for posting a comment about your stay on Tripadvisor. We apologise that your stay was not up to your expectations. This is a good London hotel which is not designed for the taller among us. The room was very nice and they appeared to make an effort, but when you are over 6 feet tall you really need something a bit larger to not feel cramped. I chose this hotel since I needed to be in the Bloomsbury area the... More
