My girlfriend and I booked a 3 night stay at the Mercure for a birthday trip to London, our first without the children. The hotel is located a short walk from Russell Square tube (which again was only a stop or two from St Pancras). The room itself was small. We booked a standard double and while a little more... So sorry to write this but I only spent one night at Mercure Bloomsbury in London and it was really horrible. The room was clean enough, but extremely noisy. It was very hot outside and inside, impossible to lower the temperature. The door to the bathroom did not close and some plastic parts of the window were kind of falling.The... More

This hotel's staff is extraordinary; they make you feel like family, so welcoming and helpful. They go out of their way to make your trip a great one. The room was fairly small but satisfactory for our needs. Clean and functional. Walking distance to the theatre district. Great breakfasts too.

Small rooms that could do with a bit less furniture, I mean who needs an armchair right next to the bed AND the deskchair? Clean with coffee, tea etc. Located two subway stations and only a ten-fifteen minute walk to get to Euston or S:t Pancreas stations. Close to Tottenhamn court road and British museum.

I really couldn't fault my stay here with my wife. The front desk staff were welcoming on arrival and helpful throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was well worth the extra charge as it set us up for the day. We have already decided that we will be going back next time we... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
