Do not expect anything listed on their website to be in the rooms. No tea or coffee making facilities, no WiFi. Asked reception for tea making facilities as per website and he abruptly said the website is old. Told he could give us tea but no hot water. A little confusing. Returned with a tea bag and empty mug. Again,rudely... More

Stayed here on the Saturday night for a weekend away with the girls from work. Was a great location for walking to the theatres and Covent Garden and even walked back to Kings Cross Station for the train..... But that's the end of the positives. We booked 3 double rooms, the two on the 5th floor were basic, small but... More

Booked three double rooms for one night. Two were ok, clean and comfy beds. The third was mire of a single, one of the arty couldn't come so it wasn't a problem, so the bed was ok for one! Don't book Room 404. No tea and coffee in rooms, as advertised on the website, although available downstairs. Staff we're very... More

Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were tidy and have everything one would need but there were no lampshades on the lightbulbs by our bed. Showers were excellent, with a good pressure and the temperature could be controlled to be very hot and very cold. Elevators were quite slow and small but did the job. Above everything, the location... More

We paid £100 for double room including breakfast. But there were NO Tea/coffee making facilities in room. I had to call reception and wait while she made the tea for me to take up in lift to 4th floor!!! One other negative was the tiny room - 404 - but it did have a bath - which is a plus... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Cheshire Hotel. The first time I stayed there was during May 2013 and the second time was December 2015. I couldn't believe the price difference because of it being the Christmas period. Having known what the hotel was like I wasn't going to pay the price that was being advertised... More

I usually use, for my londoners nights, another hotel (close to this), and I've been surprised! The appearence is old, needs improvements, but room is spacious enough to stay inside. Our room had 3 windows in room and 1 in bathroom. The room was clean, the toilet well mantained and working properly (a bit too "strong" and violent water from... More

As a young, solo traveller I was looking for a secure place to stay with a private bed and bathroom, the Cheshire Hotel is not a 5 Star resort, but it is clean, hygienic and private, Central to everything in London, 1 minute walk to Tottenham Court Road Tube Station which is on one of the main lines and located... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
