Stayed here whist attending a conference, the first time not in a group in London, the staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. Not familiar with getting about all the staff were informative. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. So good I've booked to stay there again for this year's conference.

The Cheshire is a little tired and needs a little TLC but it is perfectly located for a theatre visit and it is within walking distance from the British Museum. The beds were clean and the staff were charming.

Th hotel is quiet near Covent garden and not from the British museum close to Oxford street and Oxford Circus however the hotel has no wifi that is free and quiet expensive and hardly connects and their is no tea and coffee in the rooms and you can't get any drinks when you come back in to the hotel as... Can't understand why so many negative reviews,we had twin room ok,it wasn't massive, but for the time we spent in it Was perfect.cant comment on food or drink, only negative was you had to pay for wifi,at some ridiculous price,so we didn't bother. Cracking location, will definitely use again.

This hotel was booked for one night on a visit to the Theatre... We arranged the trip last minute, so were limited to choice... We checked in and were given our key.. the room was not cleaned.. the bed looked like it had just been left by the previous guest... We then had to wait for a room to be... More

Turned up on a business trip with a colleague having booked two double rooms. Was informed without apology that they were unavailable. Initially as my booking could not be found then when it was found that they had overbooked. Asked if we wanted to stay in a room for 3 people together at more than the price we had paid... More

Oh dear! Cleaning the room would of helped for a start. I thought I had traveled back in time to 1984 due to the decor, if it had been 1984 prices, well- it would of helped. It's tired and dated and frankly on the rank side of hospitality. No tea/coffee in rooms and a decent size bath towel would have... More

Easily the most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed in, initially I was put in a windowless room in the basement next to the laundry. So I complained and was given a slightly better room upstairs, which was stilltiny room, no hot water, smells, sometimes no heating, no plug in bath, tv intermittent...Oh and i had to sit sideways to... This is among the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is the kind of place that gets London a bad name. Stayed for one night, never again. The staff were surly to the point of rudeness. The room was very small for 3 people. No tea/coffee, the TV didn't work. Paid WiFi (really)! Room in the basement with... More

Booked a room for 3 adults. Photos on website looked ok but wish I'd checked on here first! From the outside the hotel looked fine and the reception area was ok, if a little basic. Despite asking for a room on a low floor (I don't do lifts and my son has dyspraxia) we were given a room on the... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
