The Cheshire Hotel was easy to find and centrally located especially for the British Museum. The room was small but the bed comfortable. The decor was very shoddy - things like light bulbs not working, blind not closing, skirting board falling off. The lift was rickety. There was a good shower in the bathroom and adequate towels. The main problem... More

I would have given 5 stars only wifi was not free and the shower pressure was too much. my partner and I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. although it was noisey there is nothing the hotel could do about this as they cannot keep people outside quiet, the reception staff were friendly and the room was clean.... We stayed here for an evening in London with friends. For the amount we were paid, we were very disappointed. The hotel does not live up to the cost of what it was. We may have paid a higher price as it was a saturday night but it should have been how expensive it was. We had a twin room... More

I've just had a one night stay at the Cheshire with my partner. We just wanted somewhere cheap and no frills to stay near soho and this hotel fitted the bill on location and price. We checked in a couple of hours early and the receptionist found us a room that was ready (102), unfortunately on getting to the room... More

We booked for our two director's from the USA to stay in this hotel in June, it was the worst hotel we have ever booked them into, cost did not match the standard we would have expected for the price, found the staff to be rude & unhelpful, our director's only stayed there for 1 night, we had booked them... My husband and myself stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. Hotel is well located within walking distance to nearly all the attractions in London. Shopping is five minutes walk into Oxford Street. Service is good and the staff very helpful.

Stayed here for one night with work, £325 for one night. Firstly they tried to send us to another hotel as they were over booked. Then found me and my colleague rooms in their basement, no windows, complete fire hazard. Televisions not working in either rooms or the bar, the bar had nothing in it....staff were friendly but absolutely clueless... More

If I had not been jet-lagged and leaving at 7:30 the next morning for the North, I wouldn't have spent 5 minutes in this dump, much less a night. I was booked to stay there for 8 nights. Filthy bedspread, blanket, carpet and window covering. Fire extinguishers out of charge. Was prepaid, but ultimately got a refund. Pictures helped.
