Stayed in room 214.... Was a horrible experience. The decor was extremely tired, the carpets disgusting dirty, the bathroom looked run down, the shower head didnt stay up so difficult to shower, the shaving light didn't work, the toilet badly creaked when sitting on it, the wall lights in the room are individually switch which makes them tiedious to use... Stayed here for three nights on business. The hotel is apparently undergoing refurbishment. I was given an unrefurbished first floor room overlooking the street. The noise until late and the paper thin walls, made for less than sound sleep. Woke felling very sore, having been visited by bed bugs The staff were very apologetic. I was moved to a refurbished... I stayed here for 4 nights on business (having been booked in by a corporate travel agent). It's a dreadful hotel and I can only think of one positive thing to say, that being the quality of the wifi, which is excellent. This hotel is just off the Whitechapel Road (not the best area of London and perhaps best described... More

Came for 3 nights as part of buisness stay. Staff were generally ok and accomodating. Only had cold part of breakfast which was fine. Room was comfortable and spacious. Wifi worked fine. Good view over aldgate. We have buffett dinner but lack of choice most evenings and food was edible but not great. No beer on tap. Did for what... More

was booked there on a business trip - the hotel cannot be blamed for the area where it is in which whilst interesting, vibrant and divers is also not superbly vlean, quiet and at night not one where i want to leave my car unattended the hotel claims three stars and when built might have warranted this classification, but now... Loved this hotel. Rooms exceptionally spacious by London standards. Very clean too. Staff very obliging and helpful; again unusual for London. Nice choice for breakfast. Good location for East End sites/businesses.

They seem to have block booked substantial rooms to rowdy youngsters on holiday from France, we had the worst night possible with persistant knocking on doors and running down corridors. There were post it notes on the lifts inviting people to "After parties" Terrible... and the front desk were no help, called the police in the end.

Stayed here over Christmas. We occupied a triple room which was more than adequate, the only slight criticism is that the refrigerator was a little noisy. The hotel is well placed for Tower Bridge, Liverpool St. station, spitalfields market and the multi ethnic Brick Lane. Aldersgate East tube station is next door which allows easy access to all London attractions.... More

It's an "ok" hotel within 10 mins walk to Liverpool St station, walking distance to the Tower of London too. The hotel is clean, the room was quite spacious and the staff was quite attentive and polite. The bathroom was in need of a bit of repair but acceptable. Water not very warm... although another colleague staying in another room... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel.
