We were there for 3 nights, with 3 people in our group. The rooms were clean, although the beds were NOT comfortable and there was a lot of noise from the hallways and other rooms. Location was okay, close to a subway stop, but not in a great part of town. View from our room was to the street in... More

I booked this hotel for almost a week as it is close to where I work (I work on middle of Brick Lane), and I occasionally want to lessen the affects that commuting from Hampshire daily takes on me. The hotel room had the best view over the City. Yes, it's a little noisy if you have the windows open…shutting... More

This hotel is affordable, clean and somewhat comfortable. Location wasn't so bad since it was a minute walk from Aldgate East underground which was 20-25 min from central London by tube & 7ish min to stratford station (Westfield Mall). One thing that did ruin the experience was that the guests in this hotel, and locals were loud and noisy. Made... More

My boyfriend organised us a trip to London and we decided to stay the night. We found this hotel and the price was good for what it came with. In the room there was a double and two single beds, we had are own bathroom, TV, air conditioning, a wardrobe and a lot of space. The beds were very comfortable.... More

I took soneof the reviews with pinch of salt as I have stayed at the ibis round the corner and didn't find the area scary at all. I wasvtaken back by the entrance as just a doorway but that was dispelled as soon as I entered. The staff were friendly and polite throughout our stay. We stayed on the fourth... More

Lovely staff, helpful and gave transport advice. £74 double room without breakfast (preferred to relax and find food after check out) Room was immaculate, was on the 6th floor so nice view in the evening. Our room (which I think all rooms include) had a little seating area and table so it felt like an extended lounge. TV with usb... More

OK hotel, close to East Aldgate metrostation. Breakfast is OK too, but overpriced, better to go in La Dulce cafe around the corner. WiFI worked perfectly all the time. Parking at back entrance, not operated by hotel and about 25 pounds per day, in open air but more or les safe.

For where this hotel is located, it is very reasonably priced compared to other London hotels. We stayed on the 3rd floor, had view of the city buildings. Room was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We only stayed for one night for an event we were going to, staff were very friendly and the bar has offers... More

First of all I chose this hotel because the website from which I booked said they offered free pick up from the airport. When I gave them my information they said they will have someone waiting. After we were picked up I was charged 75 pounds by the driver and the hotel staff refused any responsibility. They said it was... More

City Hotel is remarkably good value considering how close it is to major attractions and with a tube station (Aldgate East) just round the corner. Liverpool Street, Spitalfields market, Brick Lane and Tower Bridge are all within easy walking distance. The room we stayed in was on one of the top floors and had a fantastic view of the Liverpool... More
