This hotel has a good location when using public transport as it is right next to a tube station. It is easy to access. The staff quite friendly. The rooms are large. But they are old and warn down. The air-condition in our room did not work. And the street was very noisy throughout the night so we could not... More

The hotel is in a noisy, fairly run down neighborhood. (Aldgate East). We booked a double room and the room we got had two single beds and one full sized bed which made the room very crowded. The beds were all old and uncomfortable and unfortunately we had booked for 4 nights. We were told no other rooms were available.... More

The hotel is conveniently located near the City and a few steps away from the tube. Rooms are clean and betds comfortable. The only minus is the mild constant noise that came up from the bathroom pipes. I got used to it, but someone with sleeping problems can have a real hard time.

Stayed there few weeks ago, was pleasantly surprised as I got a huge two bedroom apartment even though I have booked a standard double room. Room & bathroom itself looked fine and clean, quite up-to-date. However surrounding area seemed dodgy and loud. As I arrived very late - after midnight (another advantage - can check-in any time after 2 pm!)... More

Everything was great, very friendly staff, fantastic location and comfy, well decorated rooms with welcome tea. The only issue can be the noise from the street on the weekends. Excelente experience overall.

Stayed in London for one night for work purposes, I checked availability in usual hotels, thistle, holiday inn or Jurys but they did not have availability for a double room with single occupancy, so I opted for the City Hotel. I had stayed their previously so knew it was ok. From the outside this hotel looks nothing and on my... More

The location was excellent for us as we wanted to be close to London Liverpool station and close to the tower of London. Other than that, we had a pretty bad experience. The hotel staff said hello when we walked in at about 1:00 pm and asked "were you wanting to check in?" we said "yes" to which she responded... More
