My parents stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas as they can't manage to climb the stairs in my house. I booked a ground floor room for them and one for a friend of theirs who was also spending Christmas with us. The rooms were fantastic, one had an accessible bathroom and walk-in shower which would be particularly suitable for... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Alma over Christmas. We were spending the festivities with our family locally, but accommodation there would have been difficult for everyone so we opted to stay at an hotel and the Alma fitted the bill. Our room was large by London standards and very comfortable, with everything we could... More

We chose the Alma for our wedding venue as it was one of very few decent pubs in London that offered a full service – ceremony (they are licensed), full wedding breakfast and reception. Every step of the way our co-ordinator Ann was helpful and explained things to us fully. We almost expected something to go wrong on the day,... More

Our daughter moved into a house very close to this lovely pub yesterday so we decided to try out their Sunday roasts after we had finished unpacking. It was very busy but we found a table and were served by a very friendly member of their bar staff. Our food arrived quite quickly and we were very pleased by the... More

Stayed here for a weekend with friends in room 15/16. A really good choice, this is a very well run, smartly furnished hotel with high levels of customer service from the excellent staff. The rooms are fitted out to a high standard, its the first time I have had a cafetiere and ground coffee available in the room. Lovely big... More

I stayed here with a colleague for work. I have previously only drunk in the pub and had an excellent meal. The room was very good, clean, plenty of space, good size walk in shower room. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise from the nearby railway station, nor the bar downstairs. The staff are all friendly and... More

Stayed at The Alma recently on business, the room and bathroom were a good size, very clean & the bed was very comfortable. The bar restaurant is great with really good food. However, the real plus point is the staff who are all so helpful, efficient and friendly. A special mention to Ralph who was on breakfast and dinner, he... More

We booked the Alma online at the suggestion of a friend. Got to the hotel after a day's riding in the rain. We were warmly greated at the door, shown to our room and then guided to a great evening's meal. The room was spotless and very cozy. All staff were very courtious from start to finish and pricing was... More
