I stayed at the Alma whilst on a business trip to tbe UK. Being fed up of the usual hotel chains this is a great place to stay that has easy access to London (the station is over the road) and is well designed/ quiet and offers fantastic rooms and service.....I would recommend anyone on a business trip to use... The hotel is well located for West London, the rooms are excellent and the price offers good value (when you are lucky to find a good deal - circa GBP 120 per night) We were greeted in a very friendly welcoming manner, the room and bathroom are great, and the Alma pub/resto are super. Minor grumble - over cooked poached... More

Sitting directly opposite the station into Waterloo, The Alma, covered in shiny emerald green tiles, is a little gem. Named after a battle in the Crimean War, downstairs is a particularly beautiful example of a Victorian pub. Our room (no.20) was delightful, elegantly decorated and lots of attention paid to detail over and above the regulars you would expect to... More

This is a delightful boutique hotel - which comes as quite a surprise in view of its location and outside appearance. It is in a pub, but the old-fashioned façade conceals a wonderful surprise within. We had a lovely room, with kingsize bed, immaculate bedding and firm pillows. A problem with the plumbing was resolved while we dined with the... More

What a gem of a hotel! Loved everything about it. Handy for travel into central London (Watford Town to Waterloo is 13 mins) and situated in a quiet suburb. This hotel ticks many boxes. Wonderful atmosphere, part traditional Pub and part high class boutique hotel. Accommodation is excellent (in fact the bed was so comfortable I nearly missed breakfast twice!)... More

The hotel was extremely easy to get to - it is directly across from the Wandsworth Town train station. The entrance to the hotel is just off the the right of the main building - it's a little opening where flowers are sold and you can walk into the reception area of the hotel. So cute! The hotel is very... More

Each day we went down for breakfast and we were amazed at the breakfast selection. Everything was fantastic. The staff was so friendly everyday. Up from Dorset for a few nights in Wandsworth in the recent July heatwave and recommended by our daughter for some good beer and an evening meal. Couldn't be better - excellent Young's Special and some fine haddock and chips to rival those we get on the Dorset coast. We'll certainly come back for a meal again when we're in... More
