Just returned from a working weekend in Crystal Palace. Found this hotel on booking.com, checked reviews and although not too good, figured well its only one night and all we wanted were basic "digs" to get our head down after a days work. This hotel is a hostel for asylum seekers and refugees. Which would have been fine had we... More

Lies in advertising (free parking they said, but was £5 per day). Free wifi they said, but this was only available at reception and was very poor to non-existent). Rude staff, abrupt, snappy. They also neglected to tell us we'd be woken by jack hammering at 8am each day.

The staff were miserable but the room was recently renovated and nice and cool. It wasn't clean at all and very small. I struggled to get into the shower (you had to squeeze past the toilet through the door) but the bed was very comfortable.

It's 11.29pm, I've got work in the morning and there are children screaming and shouting outside the queens hotel. This isn't a one off, many times I've had to ring over and ask the hotel receptionist to ask the children to go to bed, where are the parents/teachers.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times with my boyfriend and each time the room has been completely different. The first room was very basic. Unfortunately the signal for the TV was poor and so we couldn't watch TV and the bathroom was very simple. The second room was alot better. The decor was better, stylish and the... More

No wonder Pritam, the hotel manager, doesn't get time to fix all the problems at his hotel .. he's too busy answering all the complaints on Tripadvisor ... Like many other contributors, we were almost too scared to step through the front door after reading all the awful reviews. It was always going to be a daunting experience stepping into... More

A hotel for me in London is always just a place to sleep when I come down here & I don't mind cheap & cheerful but this place is a joke. Check is was fine but the room they gave us a room had someone staying in it already... Not a good start! They apologised & gave us another room... More
