Like many of the other recent reviewers, I spent my time at Comfort Inn Vauxhall while they were undergoing construction. It was inconvenient, meaning that I had to haul my luggage up and down two flights of stairs (I'd hate to be staying on a higher floor!), but apart from that it didn't detract from my stay, so I won't... The hotel is OK if you are only looking for a place to bunk and no further fuzz. Because that is what you get: a bed. Breakfast can be had in a small area near the reception with plastic tables and chairs. Not very inspiring, so better to have breakfast outdoors. The neighbourhood is not the finest (sorry to say!).... More

We arrived to the hotel after a long airplane ride to a building that was completely covered with scaffolds. We knew that there were some renovations that were being done ahead of time, but this kind of took us by surprise. When checking in, we thought that we had access to the breakfast the mornings that we would be staying... More

I must have misunderstood what I was booking into here. It was not a hotel, but a building site. The lift was off, no water between 11-2pm, building work from 8am, restaurant closed and the a/c deactivated in the room that I was given. The hotel should be closed with the level of works going on. I was offered another... More

This hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to the Tube. We would stay here again if we returned to London. However, you have to pay for Wifi service, pay for the Continental Breakfast and the choice of tv channels is poor. Our room was clean & comfortable. While we were there the hotel was going through remodeling, and the... More

I stayed here with my mom and sister. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the room. It was a small space, but probably typical of London. It was about a third of a mile to the Vauxhall station with many tube and bus lines. A quiet and relatively simple walk. The hotel advertises it is handicapped accessible, but their... More

We stayed here for five nights in July (two adults two teens). There were two single beds and bunk beds. The hotel is being renovated and we had no access to the hotel guest computers which was unfortunate because we were depending on using the computers to email people back home as we did not have any other means of... Despite having made reservations months in advance the hotel was unprepared for our arrival. Staff told us they would have the rooms at two ( an hour prior to check in) but actually waited until over an hour AFTER check in to get room. Lift was out. Restaurant was closed. Banging and knocking during the day. Would rather pitch a... More

Stayed here for two nights 1st and 2nd July 2014, we were given a ground floor room. The room and ensuite shower/toilet were clean and tidy on arrival and the bed comfortable to sleep in. The hotel is still being refurbished but this did not affect our stay. The carpets in the corridor were new and it looked like fresh... More

I was initially worried about the building work taking place, but found that this did not diminish our experience of staying there, and I am happy to give an excellent rating for this, for its value for money. Staying in London is expensive, and this good quality in a modern hotel, very close to business and the underground, as well... More
