We stayed at this hotel for two nights and we are very pleased with our stay. Among the staff there was this Spanish guy who was extremely nice and helpful, he made the visit extra nice, he should get a raise! The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms as well, the breakfast is not up to par with... More

Located in Bayswater in the London East End about 5 minutes walk from Bayswater tube and 2 minutes to the local High Street shops and stack of restaurants. Hotel is in a typical upmarket residential garden square. It's been totally renovated and my room was spotlessly clean and everything worked! Typical of London my single room was pretty small but... Booked a single ensuite room for a night, but received a room with a private bathroom outside (only the shower room was inside). I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs to the basement. Room is tiny and felt like a cell, but is adequate for a single budget traveller for short stay. It was a little... More

Thank you for your review. With regards to your room allocation we operate a completely automated reservation system and the room you reserved through Agoda was listed as a Single non-en-suite. If you booked it via a third party I would take this up with them. We were having a few issues with our coffee machine and lift during this... More

Review The term "the client is always right" does not exist here. Neither does the basic ettiquete rules when talking to someone (no shouting, banging on the table or making fun). The staff at the Garden Court Hotel need a course on how to treat paying customers. The only nice person there is a Spanish gentleman, which we did not... More

Thank you for your review. I would like to thank you for giving me your personal details so we could discuss this matter in greater detail. This incident occurred with one of our team members and not the manager (which is me!) and I have since taken the necessary steps to ensure that this does not happen again. Aside from... More

Pretty nice, clean hotel for a short city or business trip in London. Wifi was working fast, breakfast ok (additional eggs and bacon for small prices) and modern, clean shower and bathroom with some toiletries. perfect location at 5 mins from Bayswater station.

Room and en suite were small but still adequate enough. Décor was tired and dated. Floor and bed squeaked a little. Windows were very dirty. Sounds terrible but it actually wasn't all that bad. If I had paid a three figure sum I would have been disappointed but at half that price it was fine for what it was. The... More

Thank you for taking your valued time to share your review. I am pleased to have read that all of your ‘pro’s’ outweigh the one ‘con’. . The hotel is in the process of refurbishing some of the bedrooms and we plan to continue to offer great value for money. We hope to see you again in the near future. More

The location is excellent, with two tube stations within 10 minutes walk (Queensway and Bayswater). The room was tiny but habitable. The only weird and mildly annoying thing was that the bathroom, although private to my room was not, well, in my room. You had to get out and go down half a flight of stairs to it. Mildly grumpy... Thank you for reviewing our hotel. I would like to clear up the confusion regarding your bathroom as we always try to be as clear with our descriptions as possible. Though located outside the room, the bathroom is for the exclusive use of the room occupant who has the only key to open it. For such reasons the room is... More

I am a regular traveler to London. I have tried quite a few hotels at this price range but this one is my preferred choice because they really make you feel at home - the staff are very pleasant and helpful (particularly Diana on reception who seems to truly care about the hotel and ensuring that anything that a guest... Stayed here for one night as a VERY last minute booking due to a mix-up with another hotel. As I booked at 3pm and checked in an hour later, I was very much pleased to find a decent hotel for a great price so last minute. The exterior of the hotel is lovely. It is in a great area, just... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
