Excellent service staff. Room was small but very comfortable with large window and lovely tree outside with singing birds. Breakfast was adequate. Personal service was excellent. Location was very good.

I stayed here for 2 nights, last weekend (19/20 June) I checked in to receive an upgrade to a double, nice surprise. My room (316) was clean, airy and comfortable. I have to say that the guy on reception on the Sunday was a gem, I didn't realise I had left my debit and credit cards behind by mistake, he... More

A basic room which almost satisfied all of my needs. Service was great whereas breakfast was basic but of quality. Room had a nice interior but hearing through the wall was extreme. Good thing there was only my room and staff on my floor. Basically just a couple of simple but important factors drow the grade down from a strong... More

This hotel is clean, simple and quiet. For £80 per night - a double room in a great location in London is not easy to find. I would consider staying here again. I really liked the surrounding shops and eating places. It's just 10 mins walk to Portobello road and 5 mins to Bayswater underground.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights this weekend. I had a single room on the 2nd floor which was small but comfortable. Once checked in I went up to the room, unpacked and placed my toiletries in the bathroom quickly as I was heading straight out. I was about to turn to leave the bathroom when I noticed the... More

I was extremely saddened to read this review as the allegation you have made is untrue. My investigation shows that you stayed at our hotel with a friend who coincidentally, also posted a negative review. My team have reported that, although you were a little disgruntled that you did not receive a complimentary room upgrade, you informed them that you... More

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the hotel over the weekend. I found the lady on the desk quite abrupt, rude and extremely unhelpful when I first booked in. I would like to know why did the hotel only upgraded two of the rooms to doubles, when there were three of us staying at the premises and we... More

We love traveling to the UK, and typically spend several days in London. The Garden Court has been our choice of hotel for nearly 20 years. This is because of the combination of location and value. It was pretty much a dump when we first started staying, but has twice been renovated. We find it pretty consistently clean and well... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and we are very pleased with our stay. Among the staff there was this Spanish guy who was extremely nice and helpful, he made the visit extra nice, he should get a raise! The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms as well, the breakfast is not up to par with... More

Located in Bayswater in the London East End about 5 minutes walk from Bayswater tube and 2 minutes to the local High Street shops and stack of restaurants. Hotel is in a typical upmarket residential garden square. It's been totally renovated and my room was spotlessly clean and everything worked! Typical of London my single room was pretty small but... Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
