It is almost the home to me, five minutes away from earl's court/gloucester road tube, restaurants and supermarkets.

Stayed two nights in a basement room. Large room 7m x 5m plus en suite. Clean and comfortable. Only down side was bit of noise from reception area next door. There was a problem with cold water supply on the last night meant we had to use other close facilities but were given a refund on out booking. Staff helpful... More

A basic hotel but we found it quite OK for a one night stay; we dropped our bags before going to an event at the Royal Albert Hall, returning to the hotel at 0100 for some sleep. Quiet area at night. We'd booked a twin room with toilet/shower but on arrival were told that there were problems with some rooms... More

if you are looking for place to sleep close to Victoria Station, this is what you are looking for. Rooms are clean and cheap. Breakfast is just toast and cereals. Tea, milk and instant coffee (we didn't like it). Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Showers are not in the rooms and very very small. Don't expect any comfort here.... More

This is a very basic hotel, a group of 4 of us stayed one night before the NFL game at Wembley in a shared room with 4 beds, the room had no tv and a shared toilet, it suited the purpose though as we only dropped our bags off before going out on the town, only returning very inebriated hours... Arrived to fine behind elegant outer fascade, tired, dirty corridor s / communist areas. our booked twin became a family room up in attic No. 14 with 4 beds/ bed linen / towels clean. Room filthy have pictures were chunks of wall paper torn off, hanging off, lamps with... More

I don’t usually write hotel reviews, but since this joint doesn’t provide a TV, and the Wi-Fi is terrible, I’m left with little to do but exercise my fingers. So here goes: Curzon House, the review. Straight off the bat, let’s clear up the use of the word ‘hotel’. This place is more hostel than hotel. If you’re looking for... More

Pros: Location, price-quality ratio, friendly personal, good Italian restaurant in 250 m walking "Ask Italian". Mid: more or less common breakfast. Contras: Room wasn't ready at our arrive - need 40 mins to wait.

Stayed there for 2 nights with my boyfriend and didn't really enjoy it. The walls were so thin that we could hear everything that was going on outside, especially in the morning, since our room was right next to the dining area. It didn't feel like the room was very private. The bathroom was very old and small. We wanted... More

There is nothing specifically wrong with this hotel, we just did not enjoy it as we came from a more comfortable and cheaper hotel. The location of this hotel is good, very central, safe neighborhood, but it had an old style heater (and we visited in winter and needed a lot more heat) and the shower's water was cold (again,... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
