This hotel is by far the worst hotel we ever stayed in. The breakfast is poor (continental: cornflakes and toast with jelly or sugar) and the coffee and tea were horrible. The room was not clean(fungus and dust everywere) It was really noisy outside because of the one layer windows. You only have wifi in the lobby. The possitive things... More

We booked this, last minute, purely for availability and price! I agree with other reviewers who say it looks a little dated from the outside, but we had a refurbished double room, which was very warm and clean. The shower was excellent and the beds very comfortable. Full breakfast was included in the price which was a nice surprise. This... More

The hotel looked dodgy from the outside, but once we got inside, it was very nice. We had a refurbished room which was splendid. Avoid the tea in coffee in the rooms- it is foul!!!! Beds were comfortable, and the shower was brilliant. Breakfasts were adequate, but could do with being a little warmer.

Hotel President is located in central London exactly in the Russel Square area. Area is easily accessible and underground nearby takes you to Oxford Street area in 10 mins or less. I was given a newly renovated room on 6th floor. Not all rooms on different floors have had this renovation. Rooms are average in size having a small flat... More

Good location near Russell Square tube station and walking distance to theatre land and Oxford St. Rooms are clean. I have stayed here on a number of occasions as it is very close to the hospital in Queens Square a couple of minutes away. On my last visit it was the first time I got a refurbished room and I... On arriving at the presidents hotel it was a bit chaotic as a coach load had pulled up in front of us, this seems to be a popular hotel for coach trips! We got our room and were very disappointed at the size, there was just enough room for a double bed an my partner is 6ft5! I went down... More

Four of us went for a two night stay. Our rooms were not ones that had been refurbished, the toilet was separate from the bathroom and we had to ask and pay a deposit for a hairdryer. That aside, the rooms were clean, comfortable and the hotel was central for Covent Garden and theatreland. The breakfast was ok, a bit like... More

The hotel is located just behind the Russels square tube station. It is quite old, but rooms look nice and feel clean. They are not very spacious, but enough for a solo traveler. I stayed in fifth floor, so noise from the street was limited, but could hear noises/voices from next room clearly. Breakfast is average, you get the typical... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
