Great atmosphere, excellent value for money. Reasonable bar prices, and comfortable surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't fault it..Nice situation close to park and British Museum. Bus stops Tube and Euston is only a five minujte taxi drive away. The dining room offered a limited but well presented evening meal. Our evening meal on the first night was included in the price... We have stayed here over about 8 years each time we come to London. It's a great value hotel, with lovely bedrooms, a great location (10 mins walk from covent garden), an excellent English breakfast, but for me the staff are 1st class, everyone is so polite & helpful and each time I go I am never disappointed.

Was advised to go here by our local travel agent. Wasn't impressed. Had a very old dated room on the 3rd floor. Carpets were stained. Room and level 3 was run down. Shower was old but had good water pressure. Bed was comfortable. I wouldn't stay here again as there were other hotels priced the same which were alot nicer.... More

If your looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a great location then this is the one. No frills, rooms are pretty basic but clean, and certainly worth the money, breakfast is great, whatever you want they have it, also evening meal is well worth the money, either a carvery or set meal, whatever you choose in my opinion it's... I have stayed in the President and in its sister hotel the Tavistock just around the corner on several occassions over the last six months. I have never been disappointed. The rooms have been comfortable and spotless .The bathrooms are small and functional with basic toiletries. The President is being upgraded floor by floor and while there was some scaffolding up... More

We stayed 3 nights and found the staff helpful and courteous, the meals were good, the rooms though on the small side were clean and very presentable. We wanted a central place to visit theatres and other attractions and this was it. With the tube around the corner in Russell Square access to wherever we wanted to go was excellent.

A warm welcome on arrival from reception overall staff were very helpful and cheerfull, we booked a twin room and it was clean and beds comfy, it had a separate loo and bathroom which was good, had to turn the radiator down as it was a bit hot, we faced the front on the main road but heard very little... The hotel is part of the same chain as the Tavistock and is in the same area. We have stayed here several times and would happily recommend it. It is a 20 minute walk from Euston Station and 5 minutes away from Russell Square Tube Station. Like the Tavistock you get a voucher for a free meal on your first... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
