While the hotel is a bit dated the rooms were comfortable (bed was hard though) and clean. Close to bus lines and tube station in Russell Square. Soho is not too far and within walking distance. I needed a little fridge for some medication and they had room service put one in our room while we were out. No additional... More

Just had three nights at the President Hotel and was pleasantly surprised. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the side street. Room was a typical hotel room but was clean and the bathroom was ok. Towels changed everyday even though they looked a bit old. The downside was Breakfast.English cooked breakfast was plentiful, but was spoilt as it was... More

Very conveniently located just off Russell Square, near Soho, Bloomsbury, the British Museum, etc. Old decoration. Would need freshen up. Wifi not functional. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I paid for a double room, and I got two twin beds!!! (for 75£/night) (neither is this acceptable) Employees were obliging. Continental breakfast is crap. (Bad toasts, awful coffee, no yogurt.) English breakfast... More

I visited the President Hotel in November 2011 but I must say this time (January 2015) I was in for a surprise. The room we had was on the 5th floor. It seems like it was recently renovated. Much better than the one we had 3 years back. The room was large and clean. The heating is still the same... More

Very disappointed with the room. The alum sliding window wouldn't shut. The toilet seat clunked when you sat on it and it was very hard to flush. On the brighter side this hotel is close to the tube and the staff are helpful and courteous. I will not be staying again with this chain of hotels, ie London Imperial Hotels.

I recently stayed here with my boyfriend as he surprised me with a trip to the theatre! Reading the reviews we didn't know what to expect, on arrival we got our room straight away which was on the fourth floor. The room we were given was really modern and had been clearly decorated! It was very clean with a big... More

We stay in the President (or one of the other hotels of the same chain very near) when we go to London (we stayed there for the last time on Sept 2013). It's in a very good location, near the subway and buses and, also very near the British museum. The rooms are cozy, a little small and not very... More

We paid 700 euros to stay in this hotel on BB. Breakfast was continental....meaning toast with butter and jam, 3 types of cereals, tea or coffee and 2 juices to choose from. That is not what you call a continental breakfast. The rooms where fine except for the bathrooms too small and bath was too high to get in. Also... More

We chose this hotel due to its central Location which was great and came in very handy to get to the tube station (about a block away) to pop out to Zone 2 and all areas within London Zone 1. The staff at reception were friendly and professional, as was the baggage attendant (I think..) who we never used, but... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
