Stayed here for one night. I can remember this hotel from about 25 years ago when it was in its prime , along with the other adjoining hotels in the same group. Time has not been good to it. Arrived early and didn't expect to get a room. Lobby was ok, very dated, and suitcases were stored all over the... More

Great place to stay when visiting London for a couple of nights.the hotel is a little dated but don't be put off. Came with a group of friends to go to a show and watch marathon. 2 minute walk to tube station. Rooms simple but spotless . Fab pillows and mattress. Staff excellent . Great breakfast buffet.

When in London, we normally go for the Travelodge simply on price but took a chance on this hotel as it was cheaper at the time of booking. We were impressed at what we got. The outside of the building and the decor in the corridors was dated but our twin room was nicely decorated. We had requested a room... More

No frills but a good price for a hotel with excellent access to alt of what London has to offer. This hotel is one of several owned by the Imperial hotel group and it offers a comfortable stay in a clean en suite room at a reasonable price. Although it's in need of some modernising the breakfast are good and... More

If you are on a low budget, and this is the cheapest hotel you can get, then maybe its Acceptable. Room was ok if very small, shower superbly powerful, on the 6th floor (and perhaps i am rare in liking the shabby old metal windows, compared to the plastic things you get when they are refurbished!). Other things less good,... More

I needed a cheap hotel near Great Ormond St hospital. This hotel is certainly good value for money when you look at the fact breakfast is inc. There are many bars, shops attached to the president so it actually ideal. Staff very welcoming and all very good for the price. Room was fine for the money, however the bed was... More

Have stayed here twice now for business, the refurbed rooms are great and for just over £80 you get a single occupancy room with full english breakfast the next day, an amazing price for central London!

This hotel was probably a happening place and fit for a president in about 1950. Nowadays it is a budget grade tourist. Or, like me, you may have been placed there because your employer places a cap on what it will pay. Although the reception and dining room are refurbished, once you go beyond that it's dowdy, outdated, and shabby.... More

Well i thought the food was adequate with 3 vegetarian choices. Tea at breakfast does n't look or taste like tea though. Bath water hot and nice. Lounge good. Good location. Russell square pleasant. thank you to the black porter who helped with our luggage..

This is a fairly cheap hotel for London - £86 per night including breakfast. Great location but if you're fussy I'm guessing you won't be happy with it. Stayed there 3 nights. It's a rather big hotel, 7 floors. Excellent location - it's literally half a minute walk from Russel Square tube station. (There's a local Tesco's opposite the tube... More

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
