This isn't for you if you're looking for fluffy towels, bathrobes and fancy stuff in the bathroom but it's clean and very good value considering it's in a great location next to Russell Square. It's about a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras Stations and less from Euston. I stay here regularly for work and always get... More

We were very pleased with the hotel location - near Russell Square. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Atrium and Dining Room were both very acceptable. The only real issue we had was that the hotel room was very small.

A very central but shabby, tatty old hotel, with sliding windows over old drafty ones, mouldy bathroom tiles, and flaking paintwork. The beds were clean and comfy, the breakfast ok - cheap ingredients but hot and fresh. I think I could've got a much better hotel for the money and wouldn't book there again

We had a 4 night stay in this very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel recently. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day and had a gentle quietness about it. The en suite oozed a fresh airy fragrance and was fitted with all requisites daily. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and informative. Food and drinks were of... More

Having read some of the less complimentary reviews about this site I approached with some trepidation but failed to see the problem. My room was comfortable and on the 6th floor overlooking the Russell Hotel opposite. My arrival at reception was quick and simple with friendly and interesting staff. Breakfast and dinner is in the Carvery restaurant where staff are... More

Great 3 star hotel, reasonable price for weekend stay. Food and drink very good. Very good for transport to west end, shops and small park close by. Friendly staff, very helpful. Bus's pass by the door and shop next door to buy oyster card or to top up.

I had a single room and was surprised to find a room of normal size, apart from the bed which was a standard single. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location, plenty of restaurants around and tube station very close. Breakfast a bit boring. Bar-cafe very nice with friendly staff. Windows that can be opened to let fresh air in.

I booked this 2 night city break to London through a local travel agent who recommended this hotel, what a fab hotel it was, after a 3 hour journey from Newcastle to kings cross we jumped on a tube to Russell Square, 1 stop!! the hotel is literally round the corner, easy check in room was ready for us as... Myself and my girlfriend came down here for a few days, the hotel itself is not too bad but the location is absolutely fantastic to get around London, breakfast was decent, we never had a meal in the bar after checking out some of the reviews so we decided against it, but all in all great place to stay, highly... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
