We booked this cheap (less than £100) for a twin room on a Friday at bank holiday, but then we read the reviews. We almost cancelled, but then just decided to go with it. I phoned the hotel before hand to see which room we had been allocated, but got told that we'd find out when we got there. I... More

I saw the sketchy reviews but decided to go with it nonetheless cause I thought the pictures of the rooms seemed so different and "English Eccentric" I thought we'd give it a whirl. Whoops! Let's start with the beginning. 1) arrived from SF after long day traveling to Heathrow, fam of 4, around 8 pm, ergo, not much game-day choice... More

Looked at a few rooms before I decided on the best of a bad lot. My room was filthy, couldn't wait to get out of it every day. Dark Dingy - Bed sheets had hairs on them - had to go out and buy sheet and pillowcases so I could sleep there. I have stayed in back packer places in... More

I stayed here for one night, primarily because the location was 5 minutes from a hospital where I had an operation booked the next day. When my parents who were dropping me off mentioned to me I needed to book a taxi infront of the manager, the hotel said they would do that for me. When I arrived at the... More

We were so excited to stay in this hotel. The pictures are fantastic, unique, quirky, all things my husband I adore. But we ended up paying $195 to stay in a room that was approximately tiny, cramped, and about 100 degrees F. Pros---It really was quirky with things to look at all over the place. I did love that part... More

Me & my friend were slightly apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised!! We stayed in the basement, a room called cosmic girl, it was a little dark but it was fine. Neat and tidy and had everything we needed including a fan! A few lights out and one plug socket not working but... More

We ended up in a basement room called Chapter & Verse. Nice decor from a distance but up close everything was really not very clean and highly impractical. There was some odd fringe hanging down on the bed, looks nice but you will begin each morning by untangling yourself. The bedspread was vile, stained and holey. The room was so... More

Pro's:- the rooms were all unique with very imaginative decoration. Ideal location for central London, off-street parking, en-suite, quirky & unusual. Cons- small rooms and even smaller en-suite. Too "cluttered". Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Room was very dark and traffic was noisy. Staff were polite but no-one helped us with our cases - we were up three flights... More

Dirty junk shop would be all I could describe it as. We were offered a choice of 2 double rooms. Double is stretching the imagination. Dark oppressive small shoebox with a 3/4 bed at best. The bathroom isn't a room it's a cupboard. Decided not to stay and lose the money instead rather than ruining our weekend. Got a great... More
