Covent Gardenis a well located, small, upscale hotel in London. I highly recommend staying there as it is great for either business or family. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant's menu was comprehensive and excellent.

I have stayed at the Covent Garden Hotel on many occasions since it first opened. On each occasion, it has been uniformly excellent. First, the location is fine, especially if one is going to the Royal Opera House, which is but a short walk. Also, such as the British Museum and the Tate Modern are within a reasonable distance. Second,... More

Just came back from a 7 night stay at this fantastic boutique hotel. This was partially a business trip and my husband and I were there with three different couples. Everything was perfect about this place. The room was large and beautifully decorated. The room was perfectly spotless and looked brand new. The bedding was luxurious and spotless (which is... More

The staff of the Covent Garden Hotel is fantastic. Ali the manager was very helpful and accommodating. The location is perfect for walking around the city. The hotel is a upscale boutique hotel located on a lovely street. We enjoyed Tea and cocktails in the private drawing room and a lovely breakfast in the restaurant. The boutiques on the street... Has been our preferred hotel for visits to London. Location, location, location. Walking distance to most west end theatres. Staff generally are great, sometimes offhand. Restaurant, well, it's handy. Think they have new chef, and food needs bit of work. Usually excellent. Somewhat expensive all round but worth it for brief stays. On-call spa arrangement to be avoided, not up... More

This is such a lovely place, I love sitting outside in the summer, relaxing with my favorite cocktail mojito topped with champaign watching people hurrying by. They do the best mojitos. A bit more pricy, but worth the good service, and luxury . Also reasonably priced snacks .

Recently I needed to book for Queens Birthday Parade. Given the time of year and occasion, price was not an object, but service was. On arrival after exhausting travel, Sydney/Honolulu/ Los Angeles/Chicago/ New York , with just one day in each city, it was a relief to finally know that I had a few days prior to the Parade. On... Ok - there are larger, grander hotels in London ofcourse but if you want something that is an insider's hotel, a cool but gorgeous, tasteful comfortable hotel with excellent service I would recommend The Covent Garden Hotel. Every movie star from America, producer, model, politician or activist comes in here to stay or to eat at Brasserie Max. The food... More

I spent a day here doing back to back interviews and also stayed the night. Had a light lunch, dressed crab and salad, very nice. All staff friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The room (201) was spacious, beautiful and comfortable.

We recently began a vacation with a 5 night stay at Covent Garden and will stay nowhere else on future visits. Agree with what others have said about first rate, unfailingly friendly and helpful staff, decor and comfort. For us, the location was absolutely ideal.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
