We have stayed at Aster House for years, and can always count on it to be clean, pleasant, and helpful. What's not to like about staying on the location for "The Street Where You Live" from My Fair Lady, a very short walk from the South Kensington tube station, close to lots of restaurants, museums, and Harrods? Good breakfast, adequate... More

Stayed here for five nights in November, 2014. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Room was comfortable and quiet. Excellent WiFi. South Kensington neighborhood is lively and accessible. Would definitely return on a future visit to London.

We splurged a bit but it was worth it. Located in a great location near the tube in an upscale neighborhood. Leonie went out of her way to help in every possible way. After flying over from the states we needed a nice tube and not a cramped shower and used it each of our five days. Very nice breakfast.... More

Located just a short walk from the South Kensington tube station on a quiet residential street, this is a great place to be in London. It's easy to walk to the Victoria & Albert Museum in one direction and Harrod's in the other, in addition to great shops and restaurants in the area. Leonie and Simon were very helpful in... More

We spent 5 nights at Aster House in August. Upon our arrival we were personally and warmly welcomed by Leonie. She was very willing to assist us to ensure we were able to truly take in the necessary sights of London which included arranging a car service to pick us . The breakfast in the atrium was a treat each... More

Hard working Leonie and Simon Tan run this very well located B&B just a short walk from the South Kensington underground station. Rooms are small and a bit dated, but the hosts are kind, helpful and eager to please their Guests. London is a very expensive city and the Aster House is a decent bargain compared to the big name... I stayed at Aster House for a week at the end of July. I stayed in a single room which was fine, not huge but big enough for my requirements. The bathroom was quite small but large enough for one person. The location was terrific. It was a short walk to South Kensington tube station, restaurants, shops, Victoria & Albert... More

We enjoyed our stay at Aster House. We had a second floor room that was spotless, private, and quiet with adequate space for our luggage. This B/B had the fastest WIFI service of any we had during our 2 weeks in England. Breakfast each day was served in the second floor Orangery, which was a very bright and cheerful room... More

We stay here for 5 nights, and we were very pleased with our decision. Aster House is just two blocks from the metro station, but at the same time was very quiet. The hosts were very nice. This B&B is more like a small boutique than a mom & pop B&B. Breakfast is served buffet style in a a sun... More

Rick Steves rated it highly, I’ll rave about it. Appearance, breakfast, rooms, location, service, . . . all outstanding. Everything is spotless. Breakfast provides diverse offerings if you can wait until 8:00 AM when they start serving. It’s all fresh, appetizing and presented in an attractive breakfast / lounge area with that day’s newspapers. The rooms are good sized, fully... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
