I recently stayed at One Aldwych on business in June. While the hotel - especially my room - was very nice, it certainly was not 'the home away from home' I was looking for, for my future business trips to London. While the room was comfortable and the double-paned windows blocked out any street noise, the hallways, elevator and lobby... More

Very nice and great staff, the only problem was the housekeepng staff walking in the room at 9:30PM and waking me up, which was pretty scary. also the willy wonker inspired tea is not worth £85 for 2 people as impressive and nice as it is.

The worst nightmare of a business traveler is to show up after an overnight flight with a full day of meetings scheduled, and your room is not ready. This was my experience at One Aldwych. Also, for the rate that business travelers pay, a light breakfast should be included in the cost of the room. Also, no coffee maker in... More

Came for sister's birthday. We had a few food requirements including halal and no cheese. They took this really seriously and accomodated. The afternoon tea was good fun. Quiche was great and melted in the mouth. Cakes were the best! (Don't eat too many sandwiches as you need to save space for the sweet stuff!) I must say it was... More

I booked the 'Charlie and the chocolate factory' inspired afternoon tea for a surprise for my fiancé 30th birthday. We we're not disappointed! I had read a lot of reviews of many afternoon tea in London, of which there are too many to mention. It's not cheap but this is well worth it. We we're greeted promptly and cheerfully by... More

What a perfect way to end the working week with an amazing Charlie & The Chocolate Themed Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych! The service was superb! The staff were attentive and professional, yet added a little humour to the day. The savoury and sweets were to die for and I just want to come back right now and eat it... More

While somewhat pricey, for both business and pleasure, its excellent location, very professional and accommodating staff, this Hotel cannot be beat. Time and again they have provided a most pleasant stay. The only drawback is that the Indigo dinner menu is somewhat limited; given that we stay mostly for business and have late meals on occasion, I would prefer a... More

This is really an outstanding hotel to visit on business. It's small, the staff is highly focused on outstanding service, and it lacks the tourist bustle of the Marble Arch and Picadilly area hotels. The clientele is largely English and French-speaking and the product is oriented towards Western tastes.

Good location, very nice boutique style hotel, very friendly exeptional staff, very clean. Nice bar with good cocktails, although it was a bit to cold sitting there as the ventilation was on to cold. Our room no. 603 was bit to loud at night because of a ventilation system on the roof. Breakfast was o.k., the croissants werent very good... More
