We had booked an ordinary room but paid to upgrade as the small room only had a double bed which was a surprise considering the price of the room. Plus it was on the second floor with a drab view over grey flat roof, pipes and walls. The new room was larger with a lovely king sized bed. The biggest... More

I travel to London every week on business and stay around 50-70 nights per year. With that kind of experience you get to see the difference between a warm welcome or a cold transactional check-in. Arriving at the Bloomsbury for a sightseeing weekend with my son, a beaming smile in the shape of Reception Manager - Annie - greeted us.... More

My husband and I wanted to be near theatre land and fortunately we booked this splendid hotel. We upgraded to a Kingsize room which was large and very comfortable. We were even given two £15 vouchers to be spent at the bar. The room had one of the most comfortable beds I've come across. Location was perfect - short stroll... More

Great location for West End shows, near to Soho and Covent Garden. Hotel staff were fabulous, particularly Maria and Lukas at check in and Bettina and Maria again at check out. Gary, the concierge was very helpful during our stay and a credit to the hotel in his service provision. Breakfast was busy and we had to wait for coffee... More

We use this hotel every time we visit London now. The location is excellent, especially if you get a quiet room which overlooks the side street and not the main thoroughfare. Food quality is very good and the bar also. The staff at reception are friendly, unpretentious and helpful without exception. Prices can be a little on the high side... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
