The Capital Hotel is nestled in the heart of London just a stones throw from all the main attractions. that aside, the quality of everything about the place is five star and the staff are fantastic. if you stay here you must try the restaurant at least once, Nathan Outlaw is truly one of the great Michelin Star Chefs. My wife and I recently made our first visit to the Capital Hotel. It won't be our last. This is a thoroughly charming hotel in every respect. The location is outstanding, the rooms intimate and inviting, the bar and restaurant first-rate (the hot toddies made quick work of my cold), but it is the quality of the staff that truly... More

Thank you for such a wonderful review, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and our location, just one minute to Harrods, and two to Harvey Nichols. Cesar’s hot toddies are some of the best medicine I have ever discovered and it is fantastic to hear that they helped with your recovery. All of the team were so... More

My wife and I spent 7 nights in June 2014 in one of the Capital Apartments next to the hotel. Just a superb apartment in London's best location. Old style and beautiful, just want you want in London. Near Harrods, handy to tube and bus. Service from all staff was fantastic, nothing was a problem, they were always at the... More

I recently paid for my parents to stay here. On arrival the staff were very friendly and showed us around the hotel. Everything was perfect although the toilet in the bedroom was clearly not cleaned and in a disgusting state. When we left to go for lunch I called and complained. The receptionist was good about the situation. Not what... More

Thank you for your review, I am delighted that your parents enjoyed their stay with us and that they found everything to be perfect and the team to be so friendly. I can only apologise about the bathroom issue, however I am glad that the team acted so swiftly. I have of course brought the issue up with housekeeping. On... More

When we come to London, we do not consider staying in any other hotel than the Capitol because we feel at home there. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The service is excellent and we did not find any faults. The location is good and we appreciated the calmness at night and the general cleanliness throughout. We already look... More

this hotel everything to me, from the minute you go through the door they make you feel special, the staff the food the bar and the bedrooms all excellent. it is really close to harrods and harvey nicholls, and if you take the car there is a car park next door perfect.

This place is all about the details. The rooms are well maintained and are decent size for London. The beds are quite comfortable. But it really comes back to the amazing staff. Always with a smile. It really felt like they all enjoyed working there. The staff never made us feel we were putting them out with our many questions... More

I only stayed here one night for a business/ pleasure couple of days in London. The location especially for a shopping expedition is as good as it gets, just 2 mins walk from Harrods and so perfect for exploring Knightsbridge shops. Our room décor was quite traditional and of a high standard just as expected. Unfortunately I didn't get chance... More

This was our second stay at The Capital and it was thoroughly enjoyable - again. The staff is absolutely fantastic and can't seem to do enough to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Our room, this time, was on the 4th floor facing Basil St. Even with the window slightly ajar, the room was quite. No street noise at night.... More

The hotel itself is small but has very nice decor. This you can find in many hotels, however the level of service from the staff you cannot find in many places. All of the staff we encountered were extremely courteous and more than helpful. Had a lovely dinner in Outlaws, will definitely be back on our next visit to London.

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
