We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Hyde Park. Very close to Harrods; and an easy stroll to plenty of designer and chain shops. The hotel is quite small, with very traditionally decorated rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful although two very minor complaints would of been the offer of ice when asking for glasses of water in... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely family-run hotel in the shopping mecca of Knightsbridge. The hotel is a stone's throw from Harrods, so if you are coming to London for shopping, this is the place for you! The staff at The Capital really make this place what it is, everyone was so friendly, courteous and helpful... More

This is a very nice hotel, but it is very expensive. The rooms are beautiful and it is a short walk from the Knightsbridge tube station, Harrods, Hyde Park and Buckingham palace. As indicated by another TripAdvisor contributor, the bathrooms are extremely tight, especially the showers. The breakfasts are above average, but not great. The staff is extremely helpful. We... We stayed there in early June and I have to say the staff are excellent. Friendly, courteous and very attentive. Its in a great location too and was quiet even though our room faced the road. But I have to say the rooms need some updating (for example the technology one expects now is very dated) and the bathroom was... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. Hotel is very centrally located 50 metres away from Harrods on a relatively quiet back street. The metro station is equally close. Rooms are comfortable and traditionally decorated. Bathroom is on the smaller side (this is central London, however with a strange shower. sometimes though you can here noise from the main street, especially when people try to show off... More

Stayed here for three nights. Hotel is well located at the heart of Knightsbridge and close to Hyde park and staff is polite. I stayed in the sister property before (The Levin), so decided to try this one out. The rooms are rather small but clean and simply furnished. The real problem was the noise. I was given a room... Graham the concierge could not have been more helpful. Apparently 21 years with the Capital and is but one example of what makes for a special and warming stay. We have stayed at the Capital twice now, and have all been very impressed. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. We had the taster menu with the flight of wines at Outlaws, which was super. Many thanks X

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
