this hotel everything to me, from the minute you go through the door they make you feel special, the staff the food the bar and the bedrooms all excellent. it is really close to harrods and harvey nicholls, and if you take the car there is a car park next door perfect.

This place is all about the details. The rooms are well maintained and are decent size for London. The beds are quite comfortable. But it really comes back to the amazing staff. Always with a smile. It really felt like they all enjoyed working there. The staff never made us feel we were putting them out with our many questions... More

I only stayed here one night for a business/ pleasure couple of days in London. The location especially for a shopping expedition is as good as it gets, just 2 mins walk from Harrods and so perfect for exploring Knightsbridge shops. Our room décor was quite traditional and of a high standard just as expected. Unfortunately I didn't get chance... More

Thank you for such a wonderful review, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and am glad that you took advantage of our spoiling location, just 87 footsteps from Harrods, and two minutes to the luxury shopping of Sloane Street. I was particularly delighted that you rate the team so highly, and they were all thrilled... More

This was our second stay at The Capital and it was thoroughly enjoyable - again. The staff is absolutely fantastic and can't seem to do enough to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Our room, this time, was on the 4th floor facing Basil St. Even with the window slightly ajar, the room was quite. No street noise at night.... More

The hotel itself is small but has very nice decor. This you can find in many hotels, however the level of service from the staff you cannot find in many places. All of the staff we encountered were extremely courteous and more than helpful. Had a lovely dinner in Outlaws, will definitely be back on our next visit to London.

My wife and I have stayed for a second time at The Capital in Knightsbridge, London, on both occasions staying in one of their apartments. The location is perfect being so close to the V&A, the Museum of Natural History, the Albert Hall, Harrods and the Underground is also close at hand. The apartments are wonderfully comfortable and of a... More

Just enjoyed every minute of a three-night stay at the Capital. Our advance requests (late arrival and rollaway for our teenager) were met. Staff all warm, professional, knowledgeable. Bed wonderful, linens sumptuous. We had tea in the sitting room one afternoon, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and are sorry we didn't get to try Outlaw's. Next time!

Ideally situated for museums, Concert halls and of course shopping, we returned again for another stay at the Capital Hotel. We where not only welcomed back, but remembered by the excellent consierge Graham as soon as we got inside the Hotel, after being met outside by the doorman as the Taxi arrived. Once our bags where taken upstairs, it wasn't... More

The Capital is a jewel of a hotel hidden in plain sight in Knightsbridge, very convenient to the Knightsbridge Tube station (and Harrod's). It is the antithesis of the large chain hotels. You feel immediately welcome and the service is warm, accommodating and personalized. This was my 3rd stay at the The Capital and it was delightful. The room was... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
