We stayed at The Capital on 10 Jan as part of my birthday celebration. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff, who continued to be very helpful during our stay; a lovely room overlooking Basil St (and without traffic noise), beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable; and on our return from the theatre we ventured into the cosy... Having stayed in a great many 5 Star hotels around the World we are not easily impressed but the Capital really is superb. Friendly knowledgeable staff, a member of the family welcome, well appointed rooms and a position second to none. Nowhere else in London comes close and it really is 'A short walk from Harrods'.

We visited 03/01/2015 and had a wonderful night's stay. This is how all hotels should be..friendly staff, a warm welcome and located right next door to Harrods. We booked a suite and were so glad we did, two bathrooms and lots of little touches like a fresh fruit plate delivered shortly after arrival that made our stay relaxing. The cosy... More

This is the second time here. We liked it so much the first time we booked for New Years Eve. We spent 3nights and the hotel is as good as the first time we stayed. SUPERB! The staff, the food, the bar. All is lovely. They kindly upgraded our room which was a lovely surprise. The evening entertainment on the... More

We arrived on the evening 24th Dec. and after checking in which was ably assisted by the friendly staff, we then enjoyed a magnificent Dinner in the main Restaurant. Exceptional service and wonderful meal, and fantastic Wine selection. The wines are expensive but hey it's a Knightsbridge. The Xmas Lunch was truly an experience I shall always remember...every little detail... More

This was the first stay at the Capital and very likely to be repeated again in the future. The attentiveness of the staff made this stay so enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and they always wanted to go the extra mile.

A calming escape from the hullabaloo of busy London. Impeccable and attentive service from this family owned hotel, perfect if popping into the green bagged grocer across the street. Good no nonsense traditional afternoon tea with imaginative selection of teas, served with all the things one expects, fairly priced. Such a perfect London indulgence that just makes so much sense.

Have stayed at the Capital many times and for many years; it's a home away from home. A great location for shopping and dining, and around the corner from the Knightsbridge tube station. Staff are excellent; able to secure theater tickets on short notice and have good advice for restaurants.

Great location, very welcoming, intimate hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge. The staff are always very welcoming. The location is perfect for shopping at Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Drinks service in the bar is very professional though it can often be a bit of a struggle getting a table as it is quite small. Breakfast was very good and we... More

My third stay here. The staff are really what makes The Capital. They are amazing. Real old school London at its best. The location is also excellent, so convenient. Highly recommended. I didn't eat in the restaurant but from what I could see from the Bar it looked incredible too.

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
