I could not rate our experience highly enough. We had afternoon tea in The Sitting Room where the service was impeccable, the food delicious and the ambience warm and friendly. A small, intimate room with very comfortable seating and traditional furnishings. The staff were welcoming and so helpful. Food was served professionally and the menu varied and interesting yet remaining... More

Stayed one night on a short business trip. The staff were excellent throughout the hotel and there is a clearly a strong customer service ethic. The rooms are small but have everything you need and the location is Knightsbridge couldn't be better particularly for those who want to shop and dine. Didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the Michelin starred... More

Definitely recommend this hotel - we stayed in a junior suite which came with a surprise of complimentary champagne, chocolates & fruit. Towels were replenished during our turn down service with fresh bottled water and glasses placed on each bed stand. We went out for dinner but breakfast was cooked freshly whilst we helped ourselves to the buffet of pastries,... More

We visit London 4-6 times a year for stays of 3-4 nights and have been calling The Capital Hotel our "home base" for at least the past 8 (or more!) years. It actually does feel like "coming home" - we are greeted by name the moment we exit the taxi, not to mention the Lobby, and we know many of... More

My husband and I were privileged to have won a night's stay at The Capital with afternoon tea and breakfast the following morning included. We were greeted by a lovely team of reception staff and a friendly concierge. We were made to feel welcome and both felt relaxed as we were treated so well. It is worth noting you will... More

We loved this place except for a couple of minor things. The bathrooms as previously stated by other reviewers are small. However I can live with small the most annoying thing is the location of the heated towel racks, right in front of the toilet bowl. Make sure to place a towel on your knee when sitting. That aside the... More

This boutique hotel had a nice charm to it. It's centrally located close to Harrods and Knightsbridge station so that was nice. I had a room that faced the alley and that was a bit loud in the mornings. The rooms are a bit dated so it was a bit hard finding a place to charge my electronics. Other than... More

We opted for a dinner, bed & breakfast package. We've stayed and dined at the Capital before, so were prepared for the very tiny bathroom in the room we were allocated. Apart from that minor criticism, all was clean, tidy and stylish in its own way. At dinner, the four of us opted for the five-course tasting menu. Some of... More

Had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. We booked a Deluxe Double with Breakfast and late check out as it was only one night and even though it was a 2pm check out we were offered longer on arrival which was a lovely touch. We were greeted quickly, enthusiastically and politely and soon whisked up to our room. We... More

Our reservation had been at the sister property next door. When we checked in we were told our room had some "maintenance issues" and we were booked into the Capital instead. Upon entering the Capital, we were greeted by a staff that definitely wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Our luggage was being brought directly to our... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
