The Capital is a jewel of a hotel hidden in plain sight in Knightsbridge, very convenient to the Knightsbridge Tube station (and Harrod's). It is the antithesis of the large chain hotels. You feel immediately welcome and the service is warm, accommodating and personalized. This was my 3rd stay at the The Capital and it was delightful. The room was... More

From the moment you arrive at the front door, of this wonderfully located Hotel, you are made welcome. Always friendly, courteous and polite. Attention to your own preferences are paramount and not forgotten throughout your stay. All of our pre-check in details had been noted which is important espescially dietry requirements. Our junior suite on the 6th floor was beutifully... More

The best hotel in London by a country mile. Two restaurants to choose from both brilliant but both completely different. If you like fish I can't think of a better place to eat in London. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable and staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It's just a few yards from Harrods... More

If youre a fan of the Knihtsbridge area, you cant beat The Capital Hotel for location, service and warmth. This was probably our 4th stay at this hotel. You are greeted by the staff the minute you step into this small luxury hotel, located on a quiet street, steps from Harrod's departmen store. It seems that they can't do enough... More

Thank you for adding this note about Cesar, he is the youngest ever Keeper Of The Quaich an accolade from the Scottish Whiskey Association, and is adored by guests for his knowledge of whisky. Cesar and I both look forward to your next stay, where he will be thrilled to make some recommendations. Kind regards, Kate More

We had Afternoon Tea at The Capital Hotel and it was excellent! The selection of teas here was even better than at The Ritz were we also went. In fact all the food that was served, sandwiches, cakes, mousses and scones were definitely more delicious than at The Ritz. Of course you do not have the splendor of the Palm... More

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay (thank you for returning) and took time to write and praise the staff and food. We are thrilled that Outlaw’s at the Capital has held on to its Michelin star and that the kitchen is also able to oversee the bar menu and room service. Feedback is very important to us. We... We stayed at the hotel as a treat for our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday 22 February. The service, afternoon tea, room and room service were all excellent. Staff could not have been helpful enough and the room was lovely. It was a nice treat to stay in such understated luxury for the night and is a hotel we will... More

Once again The Capital didn't disappoint. Over the years we have stayed the odd night when in London and each time feel welcomed and like nothing is too much trouble. The Deluxe Room we stayed in was lovely with a small lounge area.

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
