I reached the hotel fairly late (around 11pm) and there was no doorman. Rather there was a drunk homeless person who kept on asking me for money while I had two big bags to handle and the whole experience was extremely uncomfortable. I got a terrible room which was right outside the elevator but I was too tired to make... More

Fantastic location, handy to everything. Rooms were reasonable size, much larger than I had been led to expect in London. Breakfast was really good, service great, staff very friendly. Free bottled water and wifi. Would recommend.

Stayed for one night and had a nice room with good bathroom. Modern and fairly comfortable. Bed could have been more comfortable, but I am fussy as I have had a bad back following an accident! Pillows were firm. Unfortunately I was woken by noisy inconsiderate people in the corridor at 3.00 am, but this was not the fault of... More

This hotel is classy with a great bar, great service and fantastic location. Its lacking a club lounge, despite being club carlsons flagship property. Great concierge. Updated hotel, but as usual in London small rooms are pricey.

Having stayed at the hotel again on the 9th April I have to admit I left not enjoying the night as I have done on previous visits. This was due to the fact that myself and partner left the next day utterly exhausted due to the lack of sleep we had. The air conditioning unit in our room was so... More

Really is in the perfect spot . Quality facilities , great service especially The Concierge , who can source hard to get attractions and events . Junior Suite room was very well appointed . Nearby big name hotels are more expensive .

This is the second review I have written about this hotel but had another great experience staying here a few weeks ago. It was a group of 14 celebrating a 40th Birthday. This hotel could not be faulted. Janis and her team went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly, the bar is great, the rooms are... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
