The location is very central and on the Thames embankment. Close to attractions, shopping, tube etc. A London institution and beautifully presented. The service throughout was exceptional; being acknowledged by all staff members we came across and not just those in 'front of house'. The staff seemed really interested in making our stay as enjoyable as possible; this certainly exceeded... More

My partner treated me a night here for my birthday and what a pleasure it was. From the moment we arrived until we left. The service we received was perfect. Our room was amazing! With the biggest bed. It was so big I had to jump to get on it. I had the best nights sleep in a long time.... More

We cannot say enough about this absolutely beautiful, charming hotel that is located in the perfect place for a family trip. The service was impeccable, the rooms were large enough by European standards to make a nice home for our 8 night stay and the breakfast was not be believed. Worth every penny!!!

The hotel has a fabulous, grand feeling as you walk in, we were made to feel welcome. Struggled to get a drink in the bars without a reservation but we happily sat in the lounge. Service was very good in Kaspers, friendly and attentive staff but was slightly disappointed with the food. Starters were lovely but the seafood linguine main... More

Stayed at this hotel as a special treat for my husband's 75th birthday - he had worked at the Savoy some 60 years previously as a pageboy so it was very special to return as a "guest". Very small but plush room, staff very attentive - and we were made to feel at ease. Only ate breakfast at the hotel... More

Stayed for two nights in a river view suite. Service was excellent from the greeting by the doormen through to the butler who brought us our tea and cookies at night. The staff make you feel very welcome. Must mention that the breakfasts are excellent with a magnificent choice on offer. This was our second visit to the Savoy within... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
