Stayed with my daughter and took advantage of the Sunday night special rate. Contact with the hotel before arrival was first class and from the moment we arrived we were blown away with the quality of the staff and the hotel. The public spaces are fabulous and we loved the museum and the photographs and paintings of past guests that... More

Very nice hotel, great location. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to keep a smile on your face. Service is excellent, and the food is very, very good. But also very expensive. We were on a tour (Tauck tour), so the cost of the rooms were included. I just went on line to get the... More

The ambience and location of iconic Savoy, a historic masterpiece cannot be matched by other 5 star hotels mostly in Mayfair. As if that's not enough, there is superb service, from bell captain to well trained hotel staff always ready to help. Dean's superb concierge service and my personal bar tender Michael in the American Bar were truly exceptional. The... More

The check in experience was seamless and very personalized. The room was beautiful and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a very nice shower (though the water leaked onto the bathroom floor if the shower was on full blast because the joints between the door and the floor were not water-tight at the bottom).... This is our second visit to this hotel. On both occasions I found our original room offered very small and both times managed to upgrade. The first occasion I paid for the upgrade, but on the second occasion I requested the same room we had on our previous visit or room of that category, this didn't happen. So our first... More

This was my 4th trip to the Savoy for afternoon tea as always service and presentation 1st class. £165 for 3 having a standard afternoon tea which left us filled up till late in the evening. Staff go out their way to make this a memorable experience. Service charge added to the bill goes to the staff.

We stayed here for the weekend as a birthday treat and it was everything and more than we expected. Be prepared to splash the cash but 1) it is worth it and 2) you are in the heart of London which means it will be pricey. The service, the staff, the rooms, the food, the bar are all amazing, we... I attended a conference here today and had an absolutely amazing experience. This is not just a hotel. The white glove service, the gorgeous architecture and incredible food really made it a day to remember. We entered the embankment side which has a lovely park at the front and you just cross the road to the river. As it is... More

Spent two nights at the Savoy with my partner while visiting from Australia to catch up with old school friends in June. We stayed in an art deco style "Luxury King" room. Naturally expectations of the Savoy were high - and these were met and exceeded at every turn. The service from start to finish was impeccable. The room was... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
