I treated my husband to a night here for a very special birthday, but was very disappointed. Obviously the hotel is a stunning one in terms of the building and its ambience, and the staff were helpful, but it didn't have the little details I had expected from such an institution. Although the hotel had been informed of the celebratory... More

My husband booked this as an anniversary surprise. It was our first wedding anniversary and a chance to have a break from our two small babies. The hotel is utterly fabulous and steeped in history. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful. I'd several issues with the WIFI and Amy on reception was more... More

Another memorable stay. Each time we visit seems better than the last. As always the room was fabulous with all the luxuries one could wish for. The cocktails in the American Bar were divine. Well worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare. Looking forward to our next visit.

My husband booked our stay as a surprise birthday treat for me and he could not have chosen anything better! From the moment we walked through the revolving doors we were made to feel welcome. Our room was elegant and comfortable, the marble bathroom had the wow factor and the bed gave me the best night's sleep I have ever... More

We normally prefer boutique hotels for their personal service but from the moment the doorman greeted us until them moment we checked out we felt like we were among the warmest company imaginable. We had booked a deluxe room overlooking the Thames but were more than pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite facing the Thames.... More

I was very fortunate to have a weekend at the Savoy gratis. It's beautiful, luxurious, and über-refined. The staff are many, discreet and extremely pleasant. I stayed in a suite which was very elegant, spacious (by London standards) and comfortable. What an absolute treat! The Savoy is not where you would go for value for money though...typifies 'if you have... More

Wednesday 18th March As always the surroundings in this fabulous hotel just make for a really lovely experience. We went for the sweet selection with champagne, sandwiches were beautifully fresh like minutes fresh, scones warm with Cornish clotted, Jam and lemon curd which is sooo lovely. Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
