Our superior queen room was of adequate size for two people to stay in and quite pleasant. The bathroom was spacious and the bath very deep. The wifi worked exceptionally well. The location of Claridge's is very convenient; it is possible to walk to most central attractions in London. We very much enjoyed afternoon tea in the Foyer on one... More

I've been to Claridges many times for afternoon tea and drinks in the bar, and have always wanted to spend a night here. Given that I live 40 minutes away from the hotel though, it always seemed too much of an extravagance - even for a birthday or anniversary. However last month, as my husband and I were celebrating our... More

I've just returned from my first experience at Claridge's and it was just about perfect. It's quite a feat to combine modern luxury with old fashioned elegance and world class service, but Claridge's does it just right. My queen bedded room was huge by London standards, with functional furniture and just the right balance of elegant décor and modernity (ex.:... More

This was a present from my daughter and family. It was a really lovely experience. As soon as you go through the revolving doors you realise you are somewhere special. You have your own waitress and ours couldn't have been better. Everything from the selection of teas, scones and cakes was perfect. We all enjoyed a lovely relaxed afternoon. T

I really wanted to like this hotel. I had been psyching myself up for days before checking in - there is a certain reputation that comes with Claridges, and I couldn't wait to be a part of it. That reputation greets you the minute you walk through the revolving door, stepping into that elegant lobby that has been the stuff... More

Dear “Angury”, Thank you for your wonderful summary of what is to be quite rightly expected of Claridge’s and if for a moment you felt like a princess that fills us with joy because we would not wish you to feel anything other than that. You called your In-Room Dining comment ‘trivial’ but we certainly did not regard it as... More

First time of visiting Greeted with an aroma of lavender as you walked through the main doors Everything in purple and green, beautiful Great ambiance Meeting rooms were fabulous All staff exceptionally attentive at all times. Lunch very nice but expensive £22 for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich All in all a great day would definitely recommend it it's... More

Expensive but quite luxurious. Too old-fashioned for me though in so many ways. Ie in 2015 one needs to charge devices and there are very few outlets/sockets and they are in awkward places, none next to bed. Also when luxury means old-fashioned non-functionality, I'd rather stay somewhere a little less pricey; for example the room is so dark, there is... More

Dear "Markievicz, I am very sorry that you did not enjoy Claridge’s as much as we would have liked you to. We continue to invest extensively into the restoration and upkeep of this beautiful hotel and all the issues you mentioned are gradually being addressed as we go through this respectful modernisation. We want to retain the charm that makes... More

Claridge's never disappoints. We've stayed many times and love the personalized service and quality accommodation. The location is great for a stroll to the parks, shopping on Bond Street and catching the tube in the event of rain. Nearby Grovesnor Square is a nice spot to relax or enjoy the summer park.

We stayed two nights in room 144 in July 2015. Having also stayed in the Savoy for much the same cost per night, I have to be honest and say we will be sticking with The Savoy from now on. We paid £645 per night for a small, dark room that was poorly lit, looking onto a dirty glass roof,... More

Dear “ BerwickshireCoast”, I read your review with much concern and there are no words to express how sorry I am for the memories and the opinion of Claridge’s that you took away with you. I have familiarised myself with what happened and will, of course, reach out to you personally but not before using this post to sincerely apologise... More

Visited for the second time, this time 4 nights in a deluxe king room which was pretty nice, meets the standards of what you would expect, it had those angled walls, which I am not normally a fan of, in the bathroom and in the bedroom, but despite this the room still felt spacious, view wasnt great sadly, looking into... Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
