The main things I care about when staying somewhere are cleanliness of room, breakfast, friendliness of staff and of course price. This hotel (read B&B) is at the right price for a stay in London for budget conscious people. If you aren't wanting to pay London prices then you have to compromise somewhere, for this hotel it is the decor.... More

The staff are very friendly and nice. They always give me a warm welcome. Stayed here for business trips a lot. Location is perfect. Breakfast is of a high quality unlike holiday inns or travel lodges. Feel at home there.

Location good and very friendly owners and staff. The breakfast sets you up for a day in London. The building is beautifully maintained and is spotless. The major downside is the noise factor. After flying long haul and in urgent need of a sleep, the road noise made that impossible. Yes, I get that the hotel is in the heart... More

This is a good value budget hotel in central London. Run by a nice Welsh couple and very good staff. Rooms are basic and spotless clean with decent facilities but can be noisy with traffic at the front of the hotel during rush hour. A hearty breakfast is included and was much enjoyed, as was the good service, the warm... More

I haven't stayed anywhere else in London, so am unable to offer comparisons, but I wouldn't want to because the Ridgemont is fantastic. Staff were very obliging, room comfortable and location perfect to all you need! I'll come back time and again

I've stopped here many times, and that seems to be a common theme with many of the guests. I was recommended it, and recommend it myself now. It's certainly not plush, and you have a choice of en-suite or shared bathroom facilities, but they are always clean. The rooms are basic, but clean. There are not tea and coffee facilities,... I stayed in a budget room. The room was basic but included TV, small desk, good-sized handbasin and wardrobe with shower etc up half a flight of stairs; there was also access to ironing facilities. This is a family run hotel which is what makes it better than other cheap hotels. The family are very friendly, chatty and the whole... More

This is the perfect hotel for a trip to London. In the past I have been in a lots of more expensive hotels for business trips and I honestly think it´s hard to find a better price-value than this family run nice little hotel. It´s incredible clean and the family creates a really wellcoming atmosphere. I will definitely come back... More

I have stayed in some really dirty hotels in London, not by choice, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see how clean and spotless this hotel was. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even changed my friend's room without hesitation because of the noise coming from the next room of a sick, coughing guest. The location is... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
