The hotel is great for travelers who want easy access to central London. I could easily take the tube from Russell Square and walk to the British Museum. The neighborhood is full of cute cafés and restaurants. Breakfast is included in your reservation, which helped me stick to my travel budget. You could serve yourself cereal and juice or order... I have stayed at several hotels in the street and decided to try this one out as well. The website was helpful. They had builders in and there were signs up with an apology so we expected some noise, but not a drill making a noise at 8 am one morning! The room was old fashioned but very clean, very... More

1) A pleasant walk from the St. Pancras International train station if you are coming in on the Eurostar to the Crescent. 2) Russell Square station is a few minutes walk - the Picadilly line goes to Heathrow. There is an agent at Russell Square to help with questions and to purchase your tickets. 3) Great traditional pub right around... More

I stayed in a single room on the third floor (it's a bit of a trek and the last flight of stairs is narrow and windy) with its own shower but shared toilet. Common areas are kept spotless so no worries about sharing the facilities with other guests. For the £65 I paid for the night, it was excellent value... More

This hotel is located in Bloomsbury, a neighborhood I like. It is on a nice crescent, several blocks from busy Euston Road; however, I did not hear any traffic noise from Euston Road. On the whole, my stay was comfortable with only minor complaints. I arrived about eight in the morning knowing my room likely would not be available, and... More

I stayed here for one night. The hotel has character and is set in an old building in the middle of a large crescent (eighteenth century ?) . My room was a single en-suite on the second floor and was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Have read previous reviews with complaints about unfriendly staff but the young woman... More

It's a bit old fashioned, and that will either enrich or frustrate your stay. Walk-up narrow stairways, small bathrooms, traditional English breakfast in the (graceful) basement. The first impression was a disappointment, but I confess the homey place grew on me, and after day four it was cozy and comfortable. Unbeatable location in central London.

We stayed here on a school trip for ten days. The location is close to three tube stops, the British Museum and the British Library. The breakfast is wonderful, the room we were in was very spacious for a London hotel. If you want to feel like a Londoner, stay here! It's not as touristy and you can get very... More

Arriving after flight to Gatwick with leg injury from last day of holiday, we were changed to a room that avoided flights of steps and also had a bath. This was so welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the location was quiet and the breakfast in the morning was very good. Dasha, the housekeeper, was extremely helpful and... More

I took my daughters on a short trip to London in Oct. and stayed here. We had a triple room facing the street. We had a nice view of the park and could watch some locals playing tennis. The room was quite spacious but the decor was a little dated. We had our own bathroom and the water pressure/temp. was... More
