We stayed in this hotel (April 2015) to take my stepson to London for his first visit. We found the hotel to be in a great location that was relatively quiet. We had a family room and the grandparents had a double. The rooms were well presented and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent there was... More

Our family of 5 stayed at the Crescent Hotel in London in April 2015 (2 adults, 3 kids under 10). We loved it! They put us in the family suite on the lower floor, and it was so clean and quiet, with lovely beds and bedding and a gorgeous bathroom and all the amenities to keep us comfortable. London is... Crescent Hotel is one of the many budget hotels that have sprung up in the vicinity of the arrival station of the Eurostar, in what is clearly a central area. It had overwhelmingly good reviews and good rates for London. Travelling solo, I took a single room that took me back to times almost forgotten of a small rom with... More

The Crescent Hotel has been in the same family ownership since 1956. Offering a full range of options to a discerning clientele. The far side of Cartwright Gdns. is currently being reconstructed. We have been actively involved with the project managers to ensure that all unavoidable negative effects are fully managed. We have monitored our regular guests and no major... More

We stayed in August 2014, 4 nights with 4 adult family travelers in one room. While it was a tish cramped, we only slept there. Bathroom needs an update but that is true of most hotels in London, even the pricey ones. There is no elevator. Breakfast room is charming and on the basement level. Breakfast was great. Cooked to... Stayed here for 2 nights. By London standard, Crescent Hotel was a surprisingly good. I thought this hotel was one of the usual B&Bs with no characters but Crescent was in fact a small, friendly hotel with a full of characters. Located in Bloomsbury, many shops, cafes and restaurants were around. My room was small but functional. Breakfast was excellent,... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Crescent. Had a nice, if somewhat small, room, with a good bathroom. Quiet street, very pretty to look at, and could keep the windows open at night if we wanted. Great neighborhood, with lots of eating and drinking options, and nearly every tube line an easy walk away. Staff was pleasant, good breakfast, no... More

Wasn't sure what to expect from a single room in a London B&B - pleasantly surprised. Expected to walk up steep flights of stairs with a suitcase and that happened. However, the bed was comfortable, the room while small was exactly as described. Shared bathroom and toilet were not a problem. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was very good, and... More

I have stayed here several times for between 2 and 5 nights. The hotel is in fascinating Bloomsbury within easy walking distance of Kings Cross and St Pancras stations and is excellently placed for visiting all that London has to offer. It is subject to the usual London street noise but is otherwise quiet. Booking is efficient, staff are friendly... More

we booked for location and cost, both of which are good, however it is very dated, a tad grubby and staff were not over helpful. I felt like a back packer. a good location though and has many nice bars and restuarants nearby

Stayed overnight for a theatre visit. Requested 3 singles and thats what we got. Hotel is in a quiet area accessible to everything we needed- train stations, tube, restaurants and theatre. Rooms were very clean and beds comfy. Bathroom was a bit tired and shower a bit of a trickle. Breakfast was fine for the price of the room.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
