My friend and I were eaten up by bed bugs :( so even though the staff members were sweet and the toilet was clean and looked nice I would NEVER EVER recommend this place! Our room had a strange smell, the wall paper was dirty and was falling off the walls. The bedsheets seemed clean, but bed bugs live inside... More

We stayed at the Old Friend Hotel for two days in a room with ensuite bathroom. First the good things: It is actually relatively close to the underground and can be easily reached by foot. Moreover, the insulation towards the road is very good, you barely hear a noise from outside (in contrast to your room neighbours). Our room was... More

This could be a really nice place if it was fumigated and had a good deep clean with some new mattresses and a lick of paint. On arrival, a very friendly male receptionist offered us a cold drink then showed us to our rooms. Our rooms were on the top floor 112 and 113 with a shared bathroom. A terrible... More

Do not stay here. It's dirty. I'm covered in bites that occurred during my sleep. Another reviewer complained about bed bugs..unfortunately I suffered the same fate. Although it is cheap I think it's fair to expect a certain level of hygiene. Shared bath and toilet. No bath mat, just a grubby towel. The electrics my room were bodged extension leads... More

£60 a night is about the least expensive we could find in a central location in London the week before easter and that is fine except for all the added charges that they don't tell you about until you're there or ask about something. 5% extra if paying by credit card. They charge extra if you pay by euros and... More

Walking towards the "hotel" myself and the wife looked at each other both in shock. The entrance and surrounding area needs to be seen to be believed. It's just a door between two kebab shops with a pub sign above!!! This was a sign of things to come. The guy at reception was a grump and straight away added money... More

As other reviewers have said, the entrance is rather odd but it leads to the back of the restaurants. Outside are 2 pay and display parking spaces which are free of charge between 5.30pm and 8.30am which is great for this place. I was rather dismayed when I arrived to find that there was a 5% charge for using a... More
