A friend and I were just visiting London for a day and wanted a place to stay near the Thames. The Hotel Strand Continental was okay. We stayed in a double room on the fourth floor. The room was clean and big enough for us to hunker down if we wanted, though we spent most of the time out and... More

Without any doubt the worst hotel in the planet. Luckily we decided to leave before even using the facilities. The place needs lots of attention and care, for what it is and unless if you enjoy misery, don't go there. We checked in and out in less than an hour, we knew that it's non refundable place so before wasting... More

Stayed at the strand continental mid July 2014, we had a 3 bed room on the top (6th) floor, I consider my self a pretty fit person but wow, those stairs killed me. Room was very small and the shower and toilet was grim. The location is excellent and overall it is good value. Breakfast was cereal and toast, basic... More

Hotel Strand Continental is very convenient, £50 for a single room including breakfast. Location is great, very central, walking distance to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Holborn. Staff very nice, polite and helpfull all the time. Hotel is quite, very relaxing. Breakfast room is very nice, with nice view on the strand.

Booked this hotel as only needed somewhere to sleep over for a few one night, and although I knew it would be basic I was still unprepared for the level which I found. My single room had one very creaky single bed (little more than a camp bed) on which was a duvet and one very thin pillow, a desk... More

Was supposed to stay here for two nights. Got here and there was only a top bunk left even though i'd rung before i booked it to ensure i wouldn't have a top bunk. Room was on the 6th floor with no lift. Whole place smelt of curry..which is great but i don't want work clothes smelling of it the... More

We stayed here because of the location and it was such a mistake! We had all our electronics stolen from our LOCKED room, and we weren't sharing with strangers! I would treat this place with serious suspicion considering the room had not been broken into-

Had a 3 night stay here, room was a bed basin and nothing else. Suited us fine but stairs aren't for the faint hearted! Great spot for the theatre and easy to get around with close tube stations. Staff were a bit tricky to track down, other than that good place.

The "hotel" is quite close to Covent Garden, but still it's a rough walk when you have heavy luggages. The "hotel" does not have any elevator, so in case you have many suitcases with you, I would not suggest you to go for this place because you might be allocated to the highest floor (around 5th or 6th??). The other... More

We stayed there for 4 nights and the only positive thing is its sooo close to the center. It is even not worth to use tube if you dont go very far outside of the most touristic places, london eye, picadilly, covent garden etc. But (They were old Indian people) the staff was not helpful. There was no lift and... More
