Loved this modern Boutique feel hotel. Very friendly reception staff, impressive corridors, and a beautiful room. Free wifi, complimentary mini bar of snacks, robes and slippers and good coffee machine. There was also a birthday cake in the room for my husband, which was a lovely touch. The pillows were just right, and curtains made the room pitch black. The... More

We stayed for 1 night and had a great stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly, rooms with nicely decorated and comfortable. Complimentary bottles of water (4), chocolate bars, biscuits, juice and cans of soft drinks. Plus an nespresso machine in the room. Nice and comfy bed. Cannot fault our stay. Room service was fast and good quality. Even though... More

Myself and my partner stayed here for a weekend in London to celebrate his birthday so our choice of hotel was very important. Tube stations at Aldgate, Aldgate East and Tower Hill are very close and right opposite and next door are plenty of bars to enjoy something to eat and drink. Would recommend The Chamberlain for a great Steak... More

Just a short walk from the Tower of London. Lovely welcome at reception. The red sparkly tiles on the floor and ceiling, set the tone of the hotel. Executive Room was lovely and spacious and enabled us to have friends in for drinks before going out. Breakfast was very good. Cold buffet including meat, cheese, pastries, cakes etc. set out... This was a weekend stay in March 2015. The hotel was just a short walk from two tube stations. The closest was Aldgate, but Tower Hill station was nearby as well. The location was good, right near Tower Bridge (beautiful to see all lit up at night) and very reasonably priced. A great value, overall. The hotel was modern and... More

I first stop at the Indigo Tower Hill because of the mix Location/Price/style. The decoration is refreshing and bring a nice change if you spend a lot of time on the road. Rooms tend to be larger that what you usually get for this price. Staff is extremely friendly but doesn't travel in/to/from London much so that their recommendation may... More

An excellent hotel in a great location. I stayed here with my boyfriend for three nights to celebrate a special birthday. On arrival we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The suite was trendy, spacious and clean with a very comfortable king-size bed.

Big, luxurious room with lots of perks - NOT what I expect from a London hotel! Room was comfortable, well decorated with nice perks such as free wi-fi, teas and snacks, Nespresso machine. Front desk staff consistently friendly and engaging. Location (between Aldgate and Tower Hill) very convenient for public transport.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
