Well I can't say more than if you have a bucket list, stay here. It may not look much from the outside but if my room was anything to go by, it is well worth a stay. Super romantic, quirky boutique styled rooms. The outside area has plenty of wine bars and great gastro pubs. Super fantastic Pink bar a... More

Stayed here for 3 nights recently. It's a 2 minute walk from Aldgate tube station, easy to find. Check in was quick and easy, friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely, big, clean, lovely bathroom. Complimentary mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Only negative during the whole stay was the noise from people walking around in the room... More

Just recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Tower Hill. We booked this hotel after seeing great reviews and the location. We were not disappointed. We arrived early (realizing it was way before check-in time). We stowed the luggage at front desk and left for the day. We didn't return until after 8PM. When we arrived, they had already taken our luggage... More

Stayed here as a birthday weekend away, can't praise this hotel enough. Lovely welcome, helpful staff, great location. Stayed in one of the superior rooms with complimentary soft drinks bar. Nespresso coffee machine, plenty of tea, coffee & milk, more than you normally get. Complimentary Sunday paper as well. Pictures don't do it justice, our room was lovely & I... More

This hotel is a hidden gem. It is very close to both Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations. Prior to arriving I had read on trip advisor about an anniversary package upgrade. This includes: an upgraded room ( executive suite), two glasses of wine, a chocolate cake , a glass of fruit, breakfast and rose petals on the bed. All... More

Spent 4 nights at the Hotel Indigo this month and loved it. Great little hotel - the location is perfect. It's got an underground stop up the street and it's a quick walk to the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Thames. The room was beautiful and the bed was awesome. I slept very well in this hotel.... More

The staff here are incredibly helpful and the rooms are great. It's also a superb location for most of London. If you want the city history it is perfect. If you want shopping, it is so easy to get there on the tube. City accommodation is the best idea for weekend breaks because it so much less hassle than the... More

This hotel is clean and elegant, the stuff is super friendly, and it is very well located–it's near the tube station as well as a bus stop, and it is at a walking distance from the City and the Tower Bridge. We stayed there three nights in May 2015 with a baby and were very happy with the experience. There... More

I'll get straight to the point on this one. It's a fabulous hotel. Good value for money, colourful, clean, friendly staff and small enough to have an almost personal feel about it. Don't be put off by this being part of the same chain that owns Holiday Inns. It's nothing like them. The bed was a veritable royal barge, with... More

Had a fabulous stay here with my 12 year old son. It really is as good as everyone is saying. Rooms so lovely with great individual touches. Bathrooms are superb with Aveda products and a huge walk in shower. Goodies in the fridge and great breakfast available downstairs in the café. No-one seems to have mentioned how accessible the hotel... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
