Convenient location, friendly staff, safe neighborhood, clean property. The wifi signal was excellent. The room was small but very clean, with a comfortable bed. Too bad they do not have a late night bar - we had to cross the street to enjoy some drinks to end a very good day.

Stayed for 1 night before a meeting in London. Although stayed at other Indigo's before I found this one to be more comfortable and better furnished. Location is great both for access to Aldgate and Tower Hill / Gateway tube station. I ate in the restaurant on site and food was good quality and plentiful for the money. I had... More

Myself and my girlfriend arrived here on 22nd August for 2 nights for my 30th birthday. Hotel is across the road from Aldgate tube station so very accessible. From the moment we arrived we were treated with the best customer service I have ever experienced. The girls on reception were very welcoming and helpful to us. As it was my... More

This is a great hotel and I would certainly choose this hotel next time I visit London. The location was just perfect for me, close to London Tower and Bridge. I purchased a ticket for the Original Tour bus, which brought me to all other great sites in London. Décor at the hotel is really beautiful, staff are very friendly... More

Had a lovely time at this great hotel! Service was amazing from beginning to end... Rooms were so lovely and clean. It was really good for a couple. We did not have our meal here as my husband booked other places as we were visiting different places in London. Next time we will try there breakfast. Will definitely stay here again... More

This is a small boutique hotel situated at a superb location between Aldgate and Tower Hill stations so getting around is a snap. Hotel staff are friendly, professional and went out of their way to sort out one or two little issues i had with getting around and food. Room design is at the very least interesting and just walking... More

The "superior" room I booked was tiny. The photos on the website must have been taken before the room's outer wall/door was put on. However, the rooms are very comfortable and well decorated. The four poster effect of the beds is a selling point. The free soft drinks and non-savoury snacks in the fridge are a nice touch of you... More

Accessibility to the underground and major tourist attractions is one of the reasons we stayed at this hotel and from other positive experiences with this chain of hotels. Use the metropolitan line and get off at the final stop at Aldgate, cross over the road as you leave the tube turn right and then first left and the hotel is... More

This hotel within the square mile is spotless, comfortable, not that expensive and had wonderful staff, there is nothing negative to say. Having stayed in Indigo hetels in other locations this one is suited well to its location with a slightly moe "traditional" style of decor as befits the business market The staff could not have been more helpfull with... Honestly have nothing bad to day about this hotel, the staff on reception were more than helpful and informative. Quick check in after a long day. Nice, big room with nice furnishings, small mini bar, espresso machine, dressing gown and slippers. Lovely bathroom, awesome toiletries. Air con perfect, comfy bed, quiet too which for London is always a bonus! Super... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
