My wife and I arrived from Heathrow and took two tube lines to get to Aldgate station. The hotel was located about a block south of the station. When we entered the front doors we were immediately greeted by two pleasant ladies at the front desk. They asked us about our flight and found my reservation, gave us our keys,... More

Great location, v.friendly & helpful staff, stayed 1 night. Upgraded on arrival to a suite, with a towel based swan display on the bed complete with rose petals (our anniversary). Minibar (free) stocked with essentials like chocolate & Coke. Restaurant/bar not much to talk about, we had a cup of tea there; but with loads of bars & restaurants in... More

Stayed here for 1 night, we were able to leave our bags at the hotel before check-in (3pm I believe) and after check out (11am). Friendly, accommodating staff and were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to the 'Tower Bridge Suite' with views of the Gherkin, The Shard, the Walkie-Talkie and the Cheese Grater. None of the Tower of London/Tower... More

I've stayed at this hotel on about five occasions for business. It is fairly near my office in the city and is convenient in terms of location. If I was a tourist I probably wouldn't stay here. Sure, it's near the Tower of London but most tourists normally want to be closer to the west-end. Secondly, at night it's really... More

I'm a fan of the IHG hotels and the reward system drove me to try another in their brand. I'm pleased I did! This hotel was really good - the rooms were great, it was friendly, they were helpful and the cleaners did a thoughtful and great job of sorting the room out.

Location: Very close to the Tower of London and metro station. It is in the financial district. At night or during weekends it is an empty area. Rooms: Even the room was very small, it was very cosy and comfortable. The decoration is good. The only issue I can point out about the room, is that you can hear really... More

We have stayed at a few Indigo hotels now and we love their unusual characteristics. This one is no exception. A small reception area which is typical of these hotels with wonderful staff. We stayed in Hotel Indigo for 2 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
