We arrived at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. The interior and exterior seemed very well kept. Our room was tiny (for 3) but was ample space the next morning once we folded the sofa bed up. We did eperience some noise from the room above but that seemed to die down about midnight and didnt start again until 630... More

When we first arrived we were locked outside on the steps with another guest for 10 minutes, until the receptionist finally arrived from wherever she had been! She then begun to check is in with the most uninterested poor attitude I have ever seen in the service industry. Finally she sent us on our way across the road to their... More

This hotel is not cheap at all, so my expectations were higher than what I experienced during my two night stay. I had a room in the basement. The towels lay on the bed. The reason was obvious very soon: the bath was simply too small for towel holders. The breakfast was very basic. For 60 bucks more I could... More

Excellent location for the NUT building where we had a meeting. Very clean everywhere, but also very basic. No lifts and narrow stairways to the basement where the breakfast area is. Good food, but very limited selection. WiFi just not working at all. We were in basement room 5 which was so small there was not even space to open... More

3 of us (adults) stayed here for 1 night on the weekend & were put up in neighbouring building. Good location not far from Russel Square & close enough to Camden. Decent facilities including comfy bed good shower & cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful & for the price we paid would definitely return.

I would describe this hotel as clean and tidy, well located, but wifi speed is unusable as it's as slow as an asthmatic ant with a lot of shopping! TV is not an option either, as from my room deep in the bowels of Bloomsbury (I think my room is actually deeper underground than the Cross-rail excavations) the signal is... More

The hotel was central to our needs... we walked to London Zoo, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square etc, etc, etc. So many shops, pubs and restaurants close by to for a lazy day. Breakfast was great - a choice of full English or continental breakfasts with staff who are happy and ready to please. Our first room was tiny... More

I chose this hotel after checking out hotels in the neighborhood (and further) for many many many hours, and I do not regret it - it was the right choice. It is difficult (or impossible) to find a perfect hotel for even a budget of 100 - 130 GPB in Central London that is satisfactory from every perspective. Fortunately this... More

I've stayed in lots of hotels around Kings Cross, St Pancras, and the British Library, and the Judd is where I stay if I can. It's small but very clean and with quite high specs (free wifi, modern bathrooms, good breakfast, friendly staff). There are many, much worse, hotels in the same price bracket as this, and which are on... More

This was in a good location and the price was ok considering it was in London. Breakfast was included and very nice. However we felt a bit deceived by the room size from the images we saw on the web site. Our double room was painfully small and not in the best state of repair. One of us had to... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
