We stayed here last week. The hotel is smack in the middle of London and very good positioned close to chinatown, the theaters and shopping areas. But the hotel is more a night club than a place where on a city trip you can go to after browsing musea or shopping. Our room was not clean. The carpet under the... More

I booked a cool corner suite as a surprise for my wife. The room was dirty and was not worth the very expensive price tag. The shower had no pressure and dribbled out. Left very disappointed and will not be going back.

Stayed one night at W Leicester Square and it was great. Upgraded to suite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service top notch. Good breakfast at Spice Restaurant. Room was huge by London standards. It was v quiet despite the location, perhaps because room was on floor 8.

Fantastic hotel with very modern rooms right in the heart of London West End. On top of all this great service from the staff. Waited at check in for 5 mins but was greeted very well and recognised as a SPG member. Offered late check out to 2pm which was required and room upgraded to one overlooking Leicester Sq. Only... We booked this hotel using Expedia in order to combine our airline tickets with our reservations. Although I was a Platinum Spg guest, upon check in I was given a lesson that room types cannot be guaranteed when booked with a third party and they will see how they will accommodate me . I asked for a king size bed... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and didn't really know what to expect. Exceeded expectations. Quirky and ultra modern but very comfortable and great location. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Without exception, they were all extremely helpful and friendly. Only complaint is that they dont provide a kettle in the room.

The question that arises when you stay at the W hotel in Leicester Square is am I in a hotel or am I in a seedy nightclub? For anyone looking for a place to sleep avoid it like the plague. Sleep doesn't come cheap and it doesn't come easy. The in house nightclub is sure to keep you awake into... More

First of all I have to admit, I'm a fan of W Hotels. The friend I was visiting in London told me I was crazy to stay in this location, however he even admitted that the location on the edge of "Times Square" was good. When it comes to W Hotels, the staff is key! At this hotel, the staff... More

Stayed five nights for work at the W, to be central, close to the office but also Chinatown and Soho / Covent Garden. Staff relatively indifferent, with the exception of a lovely Portuguese front desk agent. Room design is made for people who have absolutely no problem seeing themselves at every angle in a mirror - not my style but... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
